Hello lovely patrons! Here are some portraits I made while playing around with brushes and stylistic approaches in procreate. Plus some cloud art, because that's the result of the demo I did for the cloud tutorial! I'm editing the final video as we speak and will be posting it early next week. I took one of my sketch pages that I made last month and added some simple digital color to it. This is a super soothing workflow for me, I love blending the colors in with the pencil lines. It's almost meditative and I'll definitely be doing more sessions like these in the future! Hope you like these!

A loose sketch session in procreate! I’ve been playing around with a more stylized look for drawing characters and I’ve been enjoying it a lot. It feels really freeing! I’ve really been enjoying the lush green leaves this spring! So I took some snapshots during my morning walks and made some studies of them in procreate. My main goal was to keep these somewhat stylized - my natural urge is to copy the original photo which leads to kind of a boring result most of the time. Many of you have asked for a Procreate tutorial, so I put this one together! I structured it a bit more loosely than I usually do, making it more of a 'draw with me' format that allows you to follow along with my workflow and try it out for yourself.

I’ve been spending more time drawing on my iPad lately, just because I’ve been keeping a looser schedule with more spontaneous drawing time and the iPad is just so much more convenient for that. I’m rediscovering my workflow in Procreate and trying to figure out which brushes and process work best for my current style, so I’ve been drawing some stylized portraits to get into it.
