Timelapse video of my latest portrait with textures. In this video, you'll notice how I experiment with different brushes and attempt to harmonize the textures with each other. It was a bit challenging, but I really had fun!
Enjoy watching!

My new portrait is hereš„³
In this piece, I attempted to capture complex lighting, experiment with texture brushes, and work on creating an interesting light effect.
One of the challenges was the textures. It was quite difficult to select textures that not only complemented each other but were also soft and easy to work with. I ended up creating a ton of new texture brushes, which, I hope, will soon become a full set.š
I divided the portrait work into f...

Hello everyone!
I hope you enjoyed this month's tutorial on drawing skin. If there's anything you felt was missing or you didn't quite like, please don't hesitate to drop me a comment or a private message. I will definitely take your feedback into account to make my lessons more comprehensive and engaging.
Now, it's time to vote for the tutorial I'll create for you next month. Here are the three options:
I've sped up the process a bit to keep it from being too lengthy (though it's still an hour longš
), ensuring you can clearly see everything I useālike which brush I pick, the layer I'm working on, etc.
A few tips:
When doing skin tone studies, keep light and shadow in mind, but choose the colors you see on the reference by eye. Avoid using the eye dropper tool (only use it to check how far off you might be in color accuracy), and rely mostly on your own vision...

Hello everyone!āļø
The tutorial on drawing skin is finally ready. As promised, it will be in two parts. This is the first part, where I explain my process and the approach I use in my work. One note about this video: it will have slightly different proportions (not 16:9) since I decided to try recording the iPad screen this time. I'll adjust it in the coming days and re-upload it to YouTube to make it more comfortable for you to watch. š
Also, you'll find cheat sheets (.jpg...

Hey everyone!
The tutorial on drawing skin is almost ready, just adding the final touches. It'll be in two parts. In the first, I'll discuss the principle I use in my works and show how it can be applied to different skin tones. The second part will be a video process of how I draw skin, based on a reference. These will be quick sketches, and you can see the result in this post.
Hope you'll like the tutorial.
Have a wonderful day!

Hey guys! āØ
Today, I want to share with you the process of drawing Yubaba. I spent 10 hours on her and still wasn't satisfied. I particularly struggled with her hair, and I think I had a face much like hers while I was drawing it.š¤š¤£
I'm a big fan of "Spirited Away" and am considering drawing another character from it. Or maybe from a different animated film?
Do you have any ideas for my next fan art piece?

Who asked for a step-by-step tutorial on this portrait? Grab it now :) Moreover, I'm attaching a free brush that I used for these paint-like strokes on the portrait.
You might remember, I mentioned wanting to keep all the strokes hard-textured, but I ended up smoothing out all the harsh transitions with my regular brush. And I think that was the right decision, as I tried to preserve a multitude of different shades on the skin, which, in my opinion, adds interest to t...

Lately, I've discovered a really cool way to level up my quick sketching skills ā drawing characters from my favorite movies, animations, and TV shows. And not just any poses, but something dynamic and alive that captures the characters' uniqueness.
Quick sketches aren't about being super neat or pretty. The beauty is in keeping them rough around the edges to make the sketches feel alive.
Have you watched Twin Peaks? It's been my go-to series for this kind...

The reason is, I'm currently working on a system that will help me create content consistently without burning out. So, you'll be the only ones getting a sneak peek at all the content set to be released in May š

I finally finished this piece. It was really tough for me. I'm not used to painting with such rough brush strokes; I usually stick to my Main Render brush which gives a much softer effect.
This time, I held out until the very end, trying to keep it all in that rougher style, but eventually, I caved and used my Main Render brush to soften everything up š (you might notice this in the timelapse). After that, I felt it was too smooth and decided to add some brush strokes and various sh...

Hey everyone :) I'm currently working on a portrait and it's almost finished. I've decided to try out a new drawing technique. Lately, I've been really into experimenting with colors, aiming for a more painterly style with visible brush strokes.
So, what do you guys think about this style?

As I promised, Iām dropping the timelapse video from our last step-by-step tutorial. In this video, you can see every step I described in the tutorial.
And hey, notice how I got a bit mixed up with the folds in the clothing at one point? But then I remembered where the light was coming from, and everything clicked into place. So, a tip for you: always keep in mind the source of light, or even sketch it out. It makes drawing so much easier.
If you end up draw...

Just wanted to share a bit about my process for the last piece I worked on. I thought it'd be cool to also mention the brushes I use while I'm at it. I've kept this timelapse uncut and unedited so you can get a real feel for how I do what I do.
The video's only 3.5 minutes long, so it won't eat up too much of your time :) But, you might find some neat ideas and techniques to try out.
Have a wonderful weekend š

Hey everyone, how are you?
I just wanted to show you my newest portrait sketch, playing with some dramatic lighting. I was messing around with colors, trying out some new techniques and brushes. And this time, I was trying not to get too lost in the tiny details. I'm aiming for that kinda unfinished vibe š

Hey, guys! I've posted my eye drawing tutorial, but for some reason, the thumbnail isn't showing up on Patreon, and I just can't figure out why. It seems like there might be a bug on Patreon's end. The video works fine; you just have to click on the white rectangle, and the video will be available to you. I'm going to try other methods to upload the video. I'm so frustrated. If you have any ideas on how to fix this, I would be so grateful. But so far, nothing has helped :(

Hey everyone! My very first tutorial on "How to draw eyes from different angles" is now live! In this session, we'll dive into some anatomy basics and sketch out five different eyes. I'll also share a few tips on hatching techniques.
For your convenience, I've included subtitles in English (since I'm not a native speaker, I might sound a bit robotic at times, but my English will improve with time). š

Hey everyone!š Just wanted to give you a quick update - I'm nearly done editing my tutorial on how to draw eyes. I just need to add subtitles and put together some cheat sheets for the lesson. It's my first time making such a long tutorial (it turned out to be 35 minutes). In this lesson, I'll briefly cover the anatomy of the eye, and we'll draw 5 eyes from different angles.
So, I'm thinking everything should be all set in a couple of days! Really excited about it :)

Today, I want to share with you a few sketches I've made recently. My main focus was on stylizing shapes, and I wanted to move away from realism. The key here is to pay attention to the choice of reference (it's important that the character in the reference has distinct features and that you can easily break down the simple shapes). It's also crucial to work quickly and start defining those shapes right away.
By the way, my reference from

This is just a quick colored sketch. I thought it would be useful for you guys if I share my steps of the process.
1. Rough sketch
I always start with a quick rough sketch. But I am trying to make it as detailed as possible. I also set a sketch layer to multiply mode. A little tip - check proportions of the eye and flip your canvas to see mistakes.
2. Base colors
Next step is base colors. I use different layers for each col...

Here are some tips for drawing figures. Breaking the figure down into simple shapes can really help with the drawing process. I suggest drawing directly on the reference photo to analyze the figure and identify these simple shapes. Don't forget about the line of action :)
And of course, don't pick overly complex references to start with. Begin with something simple.

Here's a quick step-by-step tutorial on how to draw hair. The main message I want to convey is about breaking down the overall mass into smaller sections and simplifying the form. I understand that drawing wavy hair can be quite confusing, but if you approach it from the general to the specific, it makes a world of difference :))

Hey everyone!
Here's the full video of the fashion sketch process I recently completed. I decided not to edit out the parts where I redraw the same elements repeatedly because I think many of us are tired of seeing everything look perfect, and I want to be honest with you. It's not always possible to capture what you see on the first try. A lot depends on the reference.
In this instance, I tried several times to get the figure's stance right but couldn't figure out how to do it. S...
