I finally finished this piece. It was really tough for me. I'm not used to painting with such rough brush strokes; I usually stick to my Main Render brush which gives a much softer effect.

Hey, guys! I've posted my eye drawing tutorial, but for some reason, the thumbnail isn't showing up on Patreon, and I just can't figure out why. It seems like there might be a bug on Patreon's end. Today, I want to share with you a few sketches I've made recently. My main focus was on stylizing shapes, and I wanted to move away from realism. The key here is to pay attention to the choice of reference (it's important that the character in the reference has distinct features and that you can easily break down the simple shapes). Here are some tips for drawing figures. Breaking the figure down into simple shapes can really help with the drawing process. I suggest drawing directly on the reference photo to analyze the figure and identify these simple shapes. Don't forget about the line of action :)
And of course, don't pick overly complex references to start with. Begin with something simple.
