Nanai's mud bath

When I designed him I always had cetaceans and semi-aquatic mammals in mind, so I thought maybe he'd indulge in some warm mud like a hippo would, hahah, I'm sure it's great for his skin! I wouldn't mind helping him exfoliate 👀
Slight potential update to his design, I thought he looked better without the darker back patterns in this piece, Id have to make a full character sheet to really commit to the change, just feeling out different design options in these experimental pieces I suppose. I also changed his name and made this little beta logo for what will eventually be the comic, what do you think of these changes and logo!

Also! brief life update; this month has been a little hectic so far for me, nothing too crazy just a lot of IRL busy work and stuff, I've been trying to stay ahead of my art projects, more dragon sized sketches will be coming soon! I was actually thinking maybe I'll go back and start refining the sketch pages by chapter instead of just sketching the whole thing, that way you guys dont have to wait so long to see it rendered and I have more time to let it develop, what do you think?

2025-10-17 21:23:05 +0000 UTCholy fuuuuuuuuuck (hot face emoji) I would want nothing more than to be there, helping him out with his back (woozy face emoji) also, do whatever you feel need to with your pages! personally I really like getting the sketches for the pages, and I felt like sketching the whole chapter out first would make it easier to then go back and fix things you change your mind on.
