Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't posted any Midweek Moleskines this week; between working on commissions I've been feeling rather drained creatively, and haven't really drawn anything worth showing. So I've been letting my creative juices simmer a bit with some video games and other leisure times. I'll post something bigger next week; I promise!

Normally my Patrons have top priority when it comes to commissions, but since my client plans to take it to Bronycon for autographs, it was more time-sensitive so I made a rare exception.

 Decided to get in on the Wooloo bandwagon  as well as have an excuse to draw one of the Student Six. They’ve become  some of my new favorite characters, Yona especially. She’s adorable! 

MM: "The Collector"

A strange machine of undetermined origin and purpose, collecting and storing random objects that can fit in its many spherical storage pods. What it collects and why are unknown- sometimes it'll pass over something especially valuable or rare for something mundane or worthless, only to deposit everything it has somewhere secret and start over again. The only consistent trait is that it never collects the same item twice in one session.

MM - Ophiotaurus Chrysalis + Bug Forms

After seeing the new "Frienemies" episode and Chrysalis' transformation into a giant cow-snake monster (apparently it's called an "ophiotaurus"), I was immediately inspired to draw her in that form, being her sultry self.

On the left are a bunch of small concept sketches of Chrysalis in various insectoid forms based on a spider, a centipede, and a praying mantis.

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of MMs last week- I was preoccupied by commissions and totally forgot. So here's a few to make up for it.

I recently saw some previews of the upcoming dieselpunk RTS game Iron Harvest, which features a slew of bulky, chunky mechs that immediately caught my eye. I wanted to try my hand at designing a big, cube-shaped robot, but so far I haven't solidified its design. I know I don't want to make it a war robot- there are plenty of those out there ...
