Taking Requests!

Just for a lark, I'm gonna be taking three patron-only requests this month, which I'll have colored by the end of the month!

The rules are simple: if you've pledged at least $10 or more, just send me a request either in the comments or via PM. You have until the end of Sunday June 2nd to place your request, after which I'll select three from the pile, whichever sounds the most fun to draw. The only limits are no comics...

MM: Painis Cupcake Sketches (2012)

Way back in the early 2000's, I was a big fan of Garry's Mod and the videos that people made with it. One reoccurring character was Rubberfruit's Painis Cupcake, a freaky monster version of the TF2 Soldier who randomly mutilates and devours people while slithering around with bone-crunching sound effects. After watching several videos featuring this freaky cannibal I decided to try and make something myself, e...

MM: The Mooninites (2015)

An attempt at making "realistic" versions of the Mooninites from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

MM: An Itch to Scratch (2015)

A comic starring my fursona Grayscale, doing something that I'm guilty of doing in real life (minus the last bit, though it's awful tempting).

MM: Anthro Changeling (2015)

An attempt at making an anthro changeling, with a bit more detail than my usual MLP anthros.

MM: Fritz the Heratek (2014)

This was one of my first characters from playing the Black Crusade version of Warhammer 40K tabletop RPG: a heretical Tech-Priest named Fritz who specialized in performing forbidden cybernetic enhancements on xenos creatures. His latest and most favored creations are the "Assbots", a pair of donkey-like xenos with bionic implants and integrated flamers.

MM: Battle Butcher (2014)

This is an attempted re-drawing of an older piece of mine, the Battle Butcher. I really liked the idea but wanted to add more flair and atmosphere by adding a background, as well as more makeshift armor and accessories (notice his weapon is a combination cleaver and tenderizer, and his buckler is made from a cutting board).

If I remember right, the Latin motto of the Butcher's Guild he...

Posting A Bunch of Old Sketches Tonight!

Hey everyone! Yesterday I did something I've been meaning to do for a long time: going through and organizing all my old sketchbooks. I've got nearly 40 sketchbooks going all the way back to 1999, and going through them all was quite a trip down memory lane. There are so many ideas of mine in these books that I've forgotten or abandoned for one reason or another, and while a lot of them I'm rather embarrassed about, there are a few nuggets worthy of resurfacing.

So this week's Mid...

MM: Magic Tavern Guests

Some more guests from "Hello from the Magic Tavern", as I picture them: Pimbly Nimblebottom the sprite, Flower the Talking Flower, Ooze the ooze, Krom the Barbarian, and of course Chunt's Mom the manticore.

Some more practice with backgrounds, both natural and artificial.

Man in the Moon (Final)

"Good evening, good evening... lovely night, isn't it? I see you're wearing the proper face, and the proper clothes... but now you must ask the proper question. Give me the choice. What choice? Why the only choice that matters on this night: Trick, or Treat?"

And it's complete! Made a lot of changes from the WIP- added patterns to his clothes, textures to his face, and of course the background. I'm really proud of how the background came out; this was good pra...

MM: Grubber Bits

Grubber is one of my favorite non-pony characters in MLP, so I decided to draw him a few times!

At first I thought Grubber was some kind of wolverine or badger, but apparently Grubber is actually a hedgehog, and so are the rest of the Storm King's minions, oddly enough. I always thought they were some kind of yeti.

MM: Bendy 'Bots

Been wanting to draw robots for a while, but my usual method of drawing random geometric shapes as the foundation hasn't stuck. So I tried some softer, more organic ones instead.

Funny thing is, these sort of flexible robot designs used to irk me when I was younger. I always felt it was "cheating" on the artist's part if a robot wasn't made of visibly rigid, solid machinery. Nowadays I love all kinds of robot designs, with perhaps the exception of androids that look exactly like humans....

MM: Half Off

This week it's all about sheep!

Had this idea for a while of an anthro sheep being half-shorn, after seeing a photo of an actual half-shorn sheep. Glad I got the idea on paper, but I'm not sure about the pose. I definitely want to show how she's covered in tattoos. Now I just have to practice drawing tattoos.

Midweek Moleskine: Scrapped Undertale Comic

This was an Undertale comic I had drawn months ago, but abandoned shortly afterwards when I realized that the joke wasn't as funny as it was in my head. But it does give me an opportunity to show my viewers a little behind-the-scenes look at how I draw comics!

For short, humorous comics like this where panel size and layout don't need to be anything fancy beyond a simple grid or column of panels, I will simply draw each panel by itself without laying down the grid and making the appropr...

Midweek Moleskine: Pops and Bubbles

A married kenku couple who run a tavern together. Their names are the sound of a cork popping out of a bottle and a pot of bubbling soup, but everyone calls them "Pops" and "Bubbles", respectively.

Midweek Moleskine: Grave Dragon

An idea I had written down a long time ago and decided to finally put to paper: a dragon whose body is either decorated with, or has scales shaped like gravestones, and their breath weapon is a toxic slime that turns corpses and bones into zombies.

Not entirely pleased with how it came out though; need to work on it more.
