Anyway, I'm very pleased with this. All the little details on her dress were so fun to play around with. Maybe something I'll incorporate into my style going forward? We'll see!

Howdy friends. The second part for Mirael will be up in a couple of days at most, the end is in sight!

Also, I was thinking for November... A small 3 page comic for Meg from Hercules? I was thinking of doing a 3 page minicomic in the same style as the animation, so the color rendering wouldn't be quite as detailed as usual. It would be closer to that soft shading you see in 90s Disney movies, but if it didn't look good I'd try and go for my usual touch.

How does that sound to you?...

Direction change! No full Inktober this month!

Sorry friends, I was doing the math and I just don't have the time or energy to do the full set of prompts for Inktober this month. But what I may end up doing is taking some of my favorite ideas from my promptlist for this year and just doing some more polished sketches to post alongside my normal color paintings each month. Okay! So I think I'm gonna try and go for Inktober this year. But if I'm feeling like I can't get through the entire list of prompts by the end of the month, I'll make up for it in another way to make sure you get the best bang for your buck! Hopefully it won't come to that though.

At long last, poor Rogue is going to ruin that rug for good. I know the animation is nothing fancy, but I hope y'all like it! This was a really fun project work on during a very rough time in my life, and thank you all for the your patience but also the opportunity to make it in the first place. Rogue will return! The next one after this will be animated, and then that's it for Rogue. I have a sneaking suspicion I'll return to her again in the future. She's just too fun not to. ...Maybe other X-Women too... Rogue is the best of course, but there's always Storm, Jean Grey...

Rogue Part 7 (Scheduled)

Poor thing! Very fun to play around with the absolutely tippy top north pole of a blueberry, especially one as expressive as Rogue.

Health update: It has been 51 days since the operation. I have passed through the inner sanctum of the physical body. Pain no longer has any meaning to me, and I am rapidly ascending to the next linear plane. My next report will indicate if I've successfully destroyed the Spider-Man or not in all realities.

Meg is next, gods willing!

I thought it might be 51/49% "yes" for Meg and I almost didn't even ask, I didn't think she was THAT popular. She got 100% of votes, beating Rogue when I asked y'all about her in the spring. I guess we all have good taste!

So yeah, after Rogue and Inktober are done, Meg is absolutely the next character I'm drawing. Barring anything else coming up, I have her slated for November. It'll be here before you know it. Hoping for a 3-page thing with her that will be in my style, but leaning cl...

Update and potential future character

I'll be posting another sketch of Yor in a few days and other WIPs throughout the month, but in the mean time just wanted to give you guys an update. Health update: It has been 30 days since my surgery. I am beginning to be able to see through walls, and my spine has started speaking to me. Something about wanting to kill Peter Parker.

Asami Animatics Part 21 (Scheduled)

She's gettin' there! This is the second to last animatics sequence for you guys that I've been posting for, holy shit, nearly 2 years now. It's at the point now where there is a longer set of scenes in each of these, with the last file (next month) being the longest by far. Update and New Store!

Howdy! Surgery seems to have really been a success. Still need a good amount of time before I can draw again regularly, but I think this was absolutely the right thing to do. I've basically been pain free the past week and a half. (The nasty "this is gonna need surgery" pain at least) Woo! That said, there was a death in the family AND a tree crushed my car in the same storm that knocked my power out for 2 days in the middle of a heat wave all in the same week as my surgery, so I'm glad I cau...

"Good" news, everyone!

My surgery got pushed back to June 20th (until it inevitably changes again 🙃), and though my plan is still basically the same, it means I can take more time to finish up all the pages of the Rogue comic. Not that I wasn't giving it my all, but now I can make sure nothing at all is rushed. I'm working on completing the first two pieces now, so expect them to be up in a few days.

Progress Update

Surgery Update/Poll

Okay, so I finally have more information about what my surgery situation is going to look like. Tentatively scheduled for May 30th. I'm gonna be out of commission for a month at the absolute minimum. Like, I'll be in a back brace, unable to drive a car, most likely unable to sit at my computer/iPad desk, etc. When will I be able to draw again? I don't know. Might be the second the back brace comes off, could be 2 months, I have no idea. I've heard from others who have had the same issue/surge...
