Way more declines than usual this month, that's discouraging. =/ It doesn't affect the bottom line though, everything will continue at full speed!

1) This is definitely happening. I've been doing lots of finishing/testing, since that's where my inspiration has been lately, so I'm sure the game will be ready for you guys as soon as the month is over. I'm at the "overwhelmed by self-doubt" stage of the creative process, though. -_- Several elements of the game have to work in several different ways simultaneously, and I worry I didn't pull it off.

Ouroboros is pretty much done. It needs copy-editing and play-testing, but I need to let the game cool off in my mind a little before I do that. So as we get close to May 3, I'll pick it up again, play through, and try to get it into a polished state.
I also need to edit the various stories I've written, though, and I don't want to weight the end of this break month too heavily on that sort of thing. So I may juggle those around some more to keep it from ever being a grind.

So, today I'm going to talk about the project of mine that's furthest along: Ouroboros. It's an adventure RPG made in MV; I hope it will be a fun diversion for people.
I'm aiming to make the game overall feel far less like a conventional RPG. There are no character levels, for example, so your strength is determined primarily by your equipment. It's also structured as a puzzle, both in terms of individual dungeon switches and the game as a whole.

Well, this is awkward timing overall. Version 0.17.4, Noxian Nights, and other random events are not aligning in a way that makes for a very clean break between business as usual and my official side project month. I have been pretty productive recently, just not in a terribly satisfying way.
Based on my work so far, I'm feeling pretty confident in saying that all of you will get at least one short story at the end of the month. I also really hope to have a standalone game, but it's harder...

I hope everyone is having a good holiday. The new public version of the game is out, and with the second chapter completed I expect to get an uptick in attention. And actually, I'd like to help that out if at all possible.

You should get your messages shortly after I finish posting. There are some bug fixes, so definitely play this one if you haven't started 0.17.0, but this update is mostly the cosmetic improvements I couldn't get into the previous one. So check it out if you're interested in:

One of the side objectives I want to accomplish this update is to replace a bunch of the default RPG Maker music and battlers with custom material. The less default material, the more people will give the game a chance.

By objective standards, progress is going very well. I have the remainder of the summit in good shape and I'm well into the Vhala quest line. That's turning out to be more extensive than anticipated, so I'm glad you voted to split this release - trying to do this all in one would have been a very long delay. Though I've had to focus on other projects, I've managed to get an okay amount done on the upcoming update.
