Rapid Get up Animation

Something for him to get up with.  Also all my character have different get up times for different okizeme.  Since I don't want a universal timing to work on every character.  He gets up in 20 Ticks and Jiggly gets up in 24 and Jumbo gets up in 48.  Minor differences.

Whirlwind Kick

I wanted to give him another special and here we have a Hurricane kick for Rapid.    This should give you more options on how you combo with him and approach problems the other characters will give him.  I've incorporated this into the build I released yesterday.  So the same download link will have this move.

Batch 2-23-2021 (Nearly Complete Rapid)

Sorry for not posing as many Gif's to show the work in progress but some of the more recent sprites weren't animations.  This build has Rapid's:

Running Attacks: Slide and Back Kick WIP

More options for his running stance to help mix up opponents.  I have an issue with the slide and the slide attack looking similar so I'm hoping to add more frames to make it stand more.  The cross up kick will go past the opponent kicking them in the ass.  No I frames but it will pass through regardless.

This is for when they are against each other.  Rapid dashes in and slaps her ass.  I wanted to test intros for each character with these two first.

The last normals

Rapid now has his jumping hard punch and his crouching hard kick.   This completes his set of normals and makes it so every button has a function now.  Which is such a great feeling milestone.  He needs a few more special moves then the cosmetic stuff and he should be good to go.

Batch 02-06-2021

Quick notes:  This build has all characters I've done to date excluding Ra and characters I'm only helping code.  Its mainly to show Rapid's progression but I also did changes to Sarjiri to make her a harder boss.  I didn't have enough time to test before uploading this so I'm gonna do so after I provide the link.  If you run into any problems let me know.

Jumping Roundhouse and Crouching Fierce

More essential normals for Rapid.

The Jumping Roundhouse spikes into the ground with a bounce and the Crouching Fierce Launches and allows for a follow up.  I think he's a blast to play, but I'm not sure about balance yet.  I'll upload him for you guys pretty soon I just want him to have more tools.

Batch 01-22-2021 Rapid and Sarjiri Playable

They are playable, doesn't mean done.  But see if Rapid is fun to control and play as and tell me if Sarjiri is an intimidating boss.  Or you could play as Sarjiri but that will rob you of any challenge and  only should be done if you just want the power fantasy.


I won't say movelist yet since I have no promotional art to make a move sheet with.  Rapid only has 3 moves so far and Sarjiri has 4.

Rapid Standing Fierce

Now he has all of his standing normals.  So after this post, I'm gonna give y'all a playable demo of him to see if he's enjoyable.  Remember not to distribute since he isn't done.

Rapid Dashing Elbow

Finally a move to let this bunny get some damage.  This is his dps move and that's all its for.  The later portion looks like an anti air but it has no air invulnerability.

Running Start sprites

These are the sprites for Rapid's 1st move added.

Running start is a command dash that lets him move faster than his normal dash.  The move has additional follow ups.  Which will be covered below:

Hip Check Elbow:  a 2-hit attack that will function as a combo opener.  You can combo into and out of it.  But it will knock down if used twice in a combo.  This move will be safe on block and a mid.

Rapid Standing Forward (Medium Kick) 2nd attempt

Chun Li inspired clearly.  But I don't want  him to do this continuously.  He'll need a rapid fire mashing move but by doing this as a medium kick I get rid of the temptation to do it as a special.  I'll have to come up with something different for that.

This move is planned to hit 3 times and and move forward a bit with the final thrusting forward kick. 

His torso is really jittery so I'll try to fix that after lunch.  I like the lower body though. View Post

Rapid Standing Roundhouse (gonna edit)

I was aiming for medium kick but it has too many frames to be that.  

I over-animated this attack.  Since I always want rapid to be fast this move comes out far too slow for what I wanted.  Also, I'm gonna try to smear the entire spin instead of what I have now.  the foot on the kick appears small in game so he'll probably get a bigger paw too.

Rapid S Strong (med Punch)

He is gonna have 6 normals on his standing and probably air states.

This is just to make him combo friendly.  However I plan on curbing his damage with scaling so you may wanna hit and run and do simple combos.

Puny bunny doesn't react to getting hit that well.  With the tool kit planned he shouldn't be getting hit often anyway.

Rapid Run

If it needs more let me know.  Currently he's  planned to be the fastest character I've done.  I'm gonna do dust effects so when he runs it will have a nice visual cue.

Winter 2020 Update (public this time)
