In Ch1-3, you hear a lot about Fólkvangr where warriors who die in glory receive their reward. It is the afterlife that Jorgen, Jostein, and Anders aspire to.

Helheim (another afterlife), is where those who die from old age and sickness go to. Most of the Alders (the retirees in Alpine) are believed to end up in Helheim. Chapter 1-3 tells the story of Britt's coming of age, where he eventually faces an emotional reckoning to grow and truly 'leave' the comfort of his home. In Ch4, Britt learns what it means to be an adult and alone in his journey. He will need new allies and skills to find his own path.

Ch3 development progress

Development for Ch3 is about 90% complete, with the main story and 3 side stories fully completed. Two new features are also added into the development, First is the notification of timed quest (the hourglass icon), second is bonus loot from high admiration scores with the Captains. We target to release Ch3 in Dec.

We might call for a small pool of alpha testers to test for bugs before patreon release as the skill trees might need some rebalancing and more thorough bug testing. We will ...

Combat Scenes completed

Chapter 3 will feature random Jotun encounters with random loot drops. It will also feature gauntlet fights, so get ready your Valhalla Serums! Jotuns will have regeneration, debuff, and enrage abilities. Each of the skill trees offers its unique ways to counter them, so spec wisely!

Insights into the World of Ergi

This is one of the video/sources that inspired Ergi. It is long and rather academic, so you can skip straight to the parts that interest you.

Apart from the sexual practices/sexual magic in pre-Christian Viking era, the video also talks about the mystical aspects, mind-altering rituals. One of the challenges, (and also the fun) in developing this game, is to tell a story and imagine such a world that a modern audience can understand, bedazzled, but not too distracted by the sex.

Alf in Nordic lore are ancestral spirits and dead kings, this upgrade tree enhances your production speed and capacity. Players, start with 2-4 points invested in this, if you have upgraded Bountiful Harvest, Electric Fence, Automated Harvesting and Hot showers.

Ergi Relationship Strategy

Ergi relationships have three endings per character. Most of them do not share the same views as Old World (modern) relationships. To build relationships with your LI, you need to understand their worldviews and what motivates them. 

Each character has a default relationship path. To unlock an alternative relationship outcome, you might need to support a certain political position, or have enough relationship attributes to unlock them.

Kirk's Relationship Guide

Kirk is interested to romance/date Britt, mostly because he is only of the few eligible boys he can see himself having a future with. Actual affection/attraction will build over time when Britt returns his attention. Being a good friend of Tyr, Kirk will back off if you show too much interest in him.

Borge's Relationship Guide

Borge will have a relationship with you as long as you show an active interest to be with him. Patch 2.053 fixes a bug where his relationship bonus didn't trigger.

Ralf's Relationship Guide

Ralf is sapiosexual, meaning that he is attracted to men he considers his intellectual equal. To pursue a meaningful relationship with him, high admiration helps, and you need to encourage him to have a clean break with Henrik. Being raised with 7 sisters, Ralf is attracted to masculine company. He's not looking for another sister :P

Anders' Relationship Guide

Like Henrik, Anders' relationship with his apprentices is more pederasty than romance. However, Anders take his educational mentor/role more seriously than Henrik, who is more interested in grooming a successor. Affection scores are important attributes for committed relationship (feminine Britt). Admiration scores are important for masculine Britt to be his apprentice.

Henrik's Relationship Guide

Henrik is pansexual, so pretty much anything goes with him as long as it serves a purpose. To him, sex is a means to an end. Apprenticeship, marriage is a political alliance. To get into a serious relationship with him, you will need high attraction and admiration (subsequently). You will also need to resolve the story plot behind your birth parents and him.

Jostein Relationship Guide

Jostein is easier to romance with very high feminine score. He values loyalty and commitment, and he will not take you as an apprentice if you are romancing other guys.

If you choose to romance him as a masculine Britt, you will need to build your approval scores with him slowly over time and get very high approval from Filippa (in Ch3 onwards). 

Erland's relationship guide

In Chapter 2, you get to know more about Erland's past. He was a problem child abandoned by his fathers and subsequently the Onsrud House he was conscripted to. He became a Haugen after his Old Captain adopted him, and he took after many of his vices. Erland's primary relationship attribute is Attraction if you want pursue a causal relationship with him. If you are looking for something serious with him, his Affection scores must be high as well.

Tyr's Relationship Guide

Tyr is a man on the spectrum. In Chapter 2, you will learn more about how he experiences the world, and how he relies on routines to keep himself from being overwhelmed. As a Falsen, Tyr keeps to the rules. He is apolitical, neither pious or secular. To romance him, you must be patient with him, especially when it comes to physical intimacy.
