UPDATE

This month was Disastrous for my workpace thanks to the illness. I'm almost finished with comms, however since this last one is pretty heavy-duty I've decided to simply juggle things and work on it bit by bit while I start making stuff for you guys again at the same time (I've cleared this with the client), especially since my time is short this time before next opening.

Planning to open less slots next opening to offset this, its been a very stressful month :')

Status Update

Still working through comms! I would've been close to done by now if it weren't for a bit of an illness, but at least I'm back on track even if I'll have less free time afterwards.

The Commission Grind Begins Again

Activity will be significantly reduced for a bit until I get them done, I give it roughly 2 weeks if I go at it the same pace as last month, and then I'll have 2 weeks for personal art and stuff for y'all

HOWEVER, I have gotten permission from a few clients so far to post WIPs for Comms that include my birds, so I'm happy to have those to share when those are ready! I'll think about if I can get more written permission to post others if I wish.

Not much to say about the Azas, so I'll skip to talkin' about the redesign thought process.

This one was also another oldie who needed some sprucing up lol. Bit of a side character however, but I made sure to offer up some worldbuilding bits based on her place in the world.

Meet Mora

Aiming for a more uniform look for the backgrounds of these character profile pieces. That said, I'm very happy to have this one finished as it's another character who's been in need of a touch-up for years lol.

TRIVIA:

"Sword Whisperer" refers to her claim that she's able to read the emotions of objects/metal infused with a supernatural material. The sword of the protagonist is described by her directly to be in a state of perpetual mourning.

Progress Update

I still felt pretty out of it yesterday, so I took it easy and just focused on solidifying the designs for these two as much as I could. Will probably start lining them today! I'm feelin better today, hopefully we get some Real work done.

The bird is named Maggie, and the human is Mora. They've been in the roster for a while, since about 2016-2017ish

Their relationship with Aza starts off rocky. She does everything in her power to flee their sight! Not without tricking the ponytail guy into forking over the sword however. The little gremlin in the bottom meanwhile, is plotting backstabbing everyone at all times.

Despite the hostile and unstable conditions of the landmass Aza resides on, there are still patches of vegetation and greenery to forage for food and other resources, though they are far and few between.

Shockingly straight-forward processes, these were instances where I just mindlessly scribbled and the idea just came together, though not without some struggling and a mountain of small corrections. Something about this break period REALLY had me tapping into my love for the character and I'm glad so far it's all paying off.

It was initially just gonna be that front view but my over-achieving ass wanted to spoil y'all instead. Funnily enough the sketch ended up that her head was a bit too small and her boobs a little Too big, so I'm very glad the proportions were adjusted before i went in for the lineart lmao

I like big booby as much as the next fella but I also believe in moderation, the last thing I wanna become is an artist that draws boobs at LUDICROUS sizes/hyper and that just isn't my jam.
