Ariel was a model I worked with twice in 2010 before she moved to England, and we reconnected last week in Seattle!  Here's the first bit of what we shot.

Saturday morning, we had this intense fog outside of our house.  Maggie sleeps in this zebra onesie so we knocked out about 2 cold minutes of shooting before she lost any interest and went back inside.

Remixes #1 - Hand Colored Cyanotypes

I'm always trying to find new ways to avoid boredom in the image making process, and this was one of those avenues.  Models include Mosh, Angel, Sierra McKenzie, Lux Lacheln and many others.  Explainer video here!

I remember this shoot with a shudder- I had been hired by this new young model, Stella Morgan, and drove out to Los Angeles to meet her at a studio she also had paid for.  Earlier in the day my camera was acting wonky while shooting with my family at the beach, and by the time of the shoot, it was completely broken.  I had to do the shoot with my phone and GoPro, best I could, but there didn't seem any other way around it- the only way I could get home was to get paid by this poor youn...

This was from an instax that had really poor exposure, but the scanner decided it would do its best.  I really like this approach to rescuing things that in practice might go straight into the trash can.

The Nov Spotify Playlist

This month- the Beatles Esher Demos from the White Album re-release dominated, as well as other melodic/ acoustic numbers.  It was a low-key November where I donated my car and mostly stayed home, animating/ video editing/ focusing on my arts e-commerce stuff.  This mellow set helps me not lose my mind in this situation.

Sky - Summer's Gone 18+

Work with one of my favorites, Sky, shot way back in June but edited Nov 1st!  Not that I'm slow, but I hadn't found an approach to these I was satisfied with- we ended up with a day and a time with the harshest, most direct sunlight possible, and no clouds to speak of, not easy to edit!  Now I look at it and see a bit Helmut Newton vibes.
