My daughter Maggie had her 10th birthday last weekend!  I thought she'd outgrown toys but she actually is just into all these tactile kids things that are so popular now- slime, squishy things, these clothing items with reversible sequins.

Let me share some stuff created using a Diana F- a plastic camera that has all kinds of chaotic problems (which is why people buy them).  The models are Percolate in Phoenix and Olivia C. in Portland.  Explainer video here!

This was done in my backyard with a  Portland/ Phoenix/ LA model named Genevieve Liberte (maybe I misspelled that).  One of those people I shoot with who I can't really get a read of, even though we met ahead of time and discussed the shoot, so I couldn't figure out if the shoot was going in the right direction or not.

An instax collage with Sky in June 2018 at Playa del Rey.  Sky did a bunch of shoots that week and subsequently had all her stuff stolen so as much fun as we have shooting I feel a weird horrible feeling looking at the work now.

Sierra McKenzie - Mixing It Up

Sierra was someone I shot with a lot in the span of 2010-2015 but haven't posted much of here.  In going through stuff I decided, rather than a set of one shoot, I'd compile the work we did that involved mixed media and graphic design.  Some of the work involved alteration of a physical print, one is all in-camera, others involved purely digital wizardry, but it's kind of fun to see it all together.

Erika De Leija was someone recommended to me by Mark Velasquez, and apparently I was mutually recommended to Erika by Mark!  We shot out in the ocean at Playa del Rey and I filmed Erika and her man Alec for the explainer video.  Enjoy!

The Journey to Green Sand Beach 5

The 3 mile hike back to the car was nowhere near as treacherous as the way there, because we stuck to a road and avoided the volcanic coastline.  I played Phil Ochs music the whole way and at the parking lot so many people would come up to us and ask if it was worth a 6 mile roundtrip hike to the beach, and my wife would say "yes" and I kept my mouth shut unless it was a family with old people.  These are basically the only instax I shot in Hawaii because I focused on black and white d...
