Using the splitzer device on my Lomo Instant Film, I did a quick mix of Annika White and Ella Mai Weisskamp while both were in their respective chairs getting hair done.

Carlotta + Anastasia

This was one of my least favorite shoots for a lot of reasons, and I'm sure I'll get into it soon in one of my explainer videos.  I still like this photo though!  Models are Carlotta Champagne and Anastasia Arteyeva, NYC in 2012.

Erin under the bridge

Erin Mae from my NYC trip in April!  We shot out at Coney Island beach, a favorite place of mine in New York because it doesn't feel claustrophobic like everywhere else.  The train to get there actually sees sunlight.

Lorelei + Lady Liberty

I shot this with Lorelei Black in the parking lot of the Brooklyn Museum, where they have a small scale Statue of Liberty.  The thought process behind these monochrome B+W images were akin to Duane Michals' images with writing underneath.  The caption reads "The lady and me".

Kacie round 1

This was from my first shoot with Kacie Marie in 2015.  I didn't have the instax square printer at the time, but found my 2018 print version to be a better version of these images than the plain jane digital stuff I shot it on.  By the time this posts I should have shot with Kacie again in NYC!

The long long Sky

This is from my recent shoot with Sky in SF.  I screwed up the exposure on each of the pieces so added india ink to generate some consistency between the images.

I don't remember if Andrea was a Suicide Girl proper or a hopeful, but it was an opportunity to check out a neat area of California called San Clemente, where this was taken.  Or Laguna Beach.  Many of these shoots from 2011 just blend together.

Character Animator Course with updates - Free for $10+ patrons

Hello patrons!  Above is a free link to my Udemy course on Adobe Character Animator- easily my most popular class on that platform.  Character Animator uses your webcam to do motion capture animation and makes it easy for someone to manipulate an avatar without having to do any keyframe or frame-by-frame animation.  Everyone I show this program to is floored by how fun it is and what they can do with just movements in the webcam and their own voice.  

Corie Pt. 2 - 18+

Here's another set of work with Corie Shannon, shot in my former studio and at a local ruin approximately 1 year ago!  Corie recently shaved her head and I hope she comes back from Australia someday to shoot new stuff!

This set is a combo of regular digital shots on my Fuji X-T2, instax mini shot with the Fuji Mini 90 Neo Classic, and my iPhone using hipstamatic (because everything else was dead).  Explainer video focused on the instax is here! 

Globe Boy

My son Patrick from Globe, Arizona, in a wonderful location- a former mining zone turned into a public park.  My son doesn't show up a lot in my photos because my daughter demands all the attention and loves modeling for daddy, but I try to do stuff with my son whenever I can!

NYC wrapup

Hello patrons! I thought I’d write a quick note about my NYC trip. I started with 9 models (well, 8 models and one model’s friend who she recommended to me through her nude video art pieces). Ultimately I did 6 shoots - the first day was just a clusterfuck of timing, where I would go to a place, wait 30 minutes waiting for responses, then have to leave because I had to be somewhere else, wait to hear they’d also be really late, then I had to cancel that and move on... it didn’t help that...

Lux in the tree

Lux Lacheln just hanging around in my backyard tree!  Those tangerines stopped growing this year, right round the time Lux retired from modeling.  Is there a connection?

Maggie in Macedonia

My daughter Maggie in my wife's home country of Macedonia.  This guy apparently was a big pop singer who died in some way that I forget.

NYC lineup

Leaving tonight to shoot the largest number of people in a row I have ever done! It’ll be a lotta instant film, a lot of nighttime stuff, probably a year’s worth of material to eventually sort through. I screenshot all of these images off the model’s individual IGs, none of these are mine, but I thought it would be worth doing a lil’ sneak peak!

Wildflower Body Painted

This is a time-lapse of a body paint session with model Wildflower in 2014.  It was a long session where the body painter Jamie and I designed the words with a word cloud app, watched Barbarella, drank a lot of wine, and I took a nap.  Images from the session attached.  Password for the video is "psychedelic"!

Shoshana

Shoshana was recommended to me by Alina/ Thumbelina due to her really distinct personality and expressions.  We connected in Seattle one freezing March morning and 2 hours later, there was cake spatter on bar walls and a woman pulling out of her own driveway was told "suck my dick" by the model.

Instax wide with Alysha Nett, the same day I as yesterday's post with Lacheln and Ulorin Vex.  It's pretty crazy to reflect on how easy it was back then to shoot with these models who all have enormous followings today.

Medusa + Harpy Interrupted

This was with models Angel Lin and Lux Lacheln in 2011, painted by Jamie Graden (center).  Lacheln and I were on a road trip from Phoenix to LA and had a lot of adventures  during this weekend; the following day we shot with Ulorin Vex, Mosh and Alysha Nett!
