You may have noticed an overall "change in vibe" here. I arrived at a much better post-processing stack for the lighting in this bedroom scene, so I'm going back and applied it to the other pages taking place in Isaac's bedroom. Previously, it was too saturated, and given we're about to spend a lot of time in here (much to Wyatt's chagrin), I wanted something better.

This is the Tabletop scene without post-processing. The textures aren't in a place where I'd be comfortable to commit to 24fps. The characters might look a fair bit different when that time comes, but I'm super excited to animate this scenario out!

This render came so close to getting cut altogether due to the way the textures came out, but after a lot of post- work, here we are.
I've been really itching to animate this scenario, so this scene was kind of the groundwork for that. The giant's texture was from model released right when Genesis 9 came out, so I think I'll probably choose something else, finagle the textures a bit more before I commit to a full-blown animation.
EDIT: Post-processing for this scene was reworked to remove some saturation.

I promise this isn't AI–these renders have taken allll day to refine thanks to poke-through on Wyatt's scalp hair!–, but my main beef with this was with Isaac's hand. It looked like a fingernail was appearing where it shouldn't have, and sure enough, I had two "fist" morphs going at once causing the fingers to loop around twice! 😬
Isaac's head wasn't positioned quite right, making his smirk look a little strange, and he def doesn't have eyebrows. Not sure where they went. 🤷â€...

This is only a few samples into the first render, but lots of effort went into the underwear shaping here, so I'm hoping to get a few interesting shots out of this scenario.
Going to hone the material on the fabric for some subsurface–that might illuminate the giant's cock a bit more.
What would you like to see in additional shots?

My comic book tier hasn't been getting a lot of love this month because of some rendering difficulties, so I wanted to let them in on some of the scenario renders I've put out this month with this little two-page spread.
This was probably my favorite project in a long time. It happened so organically. The short comic also sort of helps to convey where my head is at for these scenario renders so I think I'll try to do this more in the future, if you guys like it.

Things have been slower for Techdeck'd lately because I wanted to build an endearing scene for Isaac's room with lots to look at, but doing so has brought about some technical challenges. I wanted the room to say a lot about Isaac's personality while also making it a living nightmare for Wyatt.
The room's fairly sparse, but it's been a balancing act between visually appealing scene complexity and my GeForce 4060's ability to render the scene. The 4060's been running out of VRAM and cra...
Too much was not rectifiable in post for this one: Isaac's photos on the bulletin board and the thumbtacks didn't make it into the corkboard, I didn't like the metallic texture on the end of the take-out chopstick–it looked like a pencil eraser–, and Isaac's tank wasn't form-fitting enough.
My RTX 4060 is really struggling with this scene, as well. I still have some scene optimization experiments to run on the 4060 for future renders, but I've been relegated to slow CPU renders on ...

This is some of my proudest work with Blender so far, so I will probably be collaging this into a comic book page as a short for my webcomic members also. It won't count toward webcomic pages, because committing to this as a series just sort of happened organically.

I'm working on a new workflow and rendering with Cycles in Blender instead of Daz. This will alleviate a rendering bottleneck with one of my machines, and create more realistic environments.
This render uses a paid add-on called Global Skin for the skin textures. Unfortunately, Global Skin doesn't support genitals. So whenever I transfer a character from Daz, I will need to hand paint the skin on the naughty bits, which will be a lot of work.
I'm going to try a re-render of this ...
In the nick o' time for the end of Pride Month, I've put the finishing touches on this Pride-themed animation. And by Pride-themed, it pretty much just has rainbow colors in it. I had some fun with sound design, too.

The 3rd "Unaware" image ended up being too overexposed to use. Too much detail was lost in the sole of the shoe and the foreground rug.
In the second, I noticed too late that I accidentally had the floor hidden in render.
I set-and-forgot these frames to render during a shift and came back to find Isaac's tank top all janky. I had done a lot of asset transfers to my other machine to start rendering with two machines at once, and had chosen the wrong asset for the tank top. I re-rendered these frames so that the tank top has continuity from the previous issue, and it just looks better.
Clothes in Daz are painful to work with. Let's get them off of Wyatt as soon as we can, yeah?
