In dating shows they always say that they want a partner who is well-groomed. Funnily enough, I had to think about that when I photographed Anna-She. She had done her nails, was freshly shaved and showered. And she has really beautiful skin.

Vladi is a real artist. I really like working with models, feeling and sensing art, embodying it in their movements.

I just wanted to do something completely different in a hotel room, so I worked a lot with reflections and objects held in front of the lens.

Melissa Mendini

I had no idea what a huge fan club Melissa Mendini has. I owe her a lot because we worked together a lot back then.

She came by night bus from the Czech Republic and I picked her up at the train station early in the morning.

You could do a lot of nonsense with her. For example, we made this video where she was just holding a cable in her hand and I stuck a button on it. Whenever she pressed it, I triggered the flash. So simple and kind of funny.

You will barely find a black and white set from me, because I love colors. But this was an exception. I wanted to try out the low light capabilities of my camera and had the idea with the black boots.

I'm pretty sure if I had met Vivian a little later or had been active for Playboy back then, she would have been a Playmate.

So coincidences often play a role in life and it simply depends on the right time. But she is a great and lovely blonde also without the title.

When I visit Paris and walk up to Montmartre, I still look up to this beautiful loft and can't believe that I once worked in there. Beladona has a true French look that I really adore. Maybe you can tell that I picked the colors of the French flag for our shoot. I like a subtle play with colors to combine photos to a series. Nothing happens by accident.

When I was in Vienna for my shoot with Christiane, I happened to run into Niki Lauda at 7 in the morning as I was leaving. It felt so surreal what Vienna offered me.

The Hitchhiker

Hitchhiking is not really in fashion anymore. But it works well for a road trip story. Kate is a wild girl and a good reminder that I should look out for a model with red hair again.

Forget Your Head by InAshton (long version)

The American band InAshton reached out to me and said, they love my pictures and asked if I could offer them some footage for their next song. They were a new band (in 2010) with no budget but Kamilka and I were willing to shoot some video stuff real quick.

From today's point of view it seems a bit amateurish, but I worked alone, with the technical possibilities of that time and we filmed the whole thing in 30 minutes.

Perfect Match

It is difficult to shoot nudes on a tennis court in Germany. Usually there are people and most of the time, the courts have advertisings hanging in the background. So, I had to ask for permission.

Playmtate Thanni and I met for the first time last year at the Playboy 50th anniversary party. We connected quite well and when she was in my hometown to celebrate a friend's birthday, we hooked up for a quick shoot in her hotel room.

I was so excited about my set at the time and then a guy I didn't know came up and said the costume jewelry looked cheap.

Damn! He was right. And still it hit me. That's why this update video is called "Tooth Ache."

It's not so easy to get a thick skin. But you only learn from mistakes (in this case, my styling).

It was fantastic to work with Sasha. We clicked immediately and this is not always the case. She was absolutely into moving around like a snake, if I may say so. And I  have never seen such an extreme hollow back. As if her spine was made of rubber.

Eye Candy

Mia has conjured up such a great eye makeup that I was virtually perforated by her looks.

Working on 10sqm is not so easy, but this hotel room had a never empty fridge. I don't know how they did it. There were more than 20 cans of Coke and beer inside.

You Make Me Feel

Imagine you wait in a hotel suite for the model and you look out of the window and can spot her down on the street wearing a short summer dress. This is what happened to me. I was so stoked to see her. When I opened the door, she had a pink FFP1 mask on her face as we were working in the pandemic.

Our shoot was so great. The hotel suite looked somewhat different than I had thought, but who looks at the furniture when Sylvia is the star?

I used to make videos to all of my shoots in the past. It has become a bit more difficult these days as many models don't want to get filmed anymore. Maybe it has to do with them marketing themselves with clips from their mobile. Anyways, this is Marcelina back in the days.

This was an experimental series by me where I went a lot further in post processing. I wanted to add a darker mood to the images with this technique, but usually I prefer natural looks.
