What's the best thing to do in Germany during winter? That's right: taking photos in the studio. And while I was there, I wondered why I rarely visit studios. I really enjoyed it. For Anastasia, it was home-field advantage. She had already been to this particular studio 19 times, which I found somewhat odd. But in the end, all that mattered to me was her as a person: For the first time, I photographed a model with so many freckles. Simply amazing.

Mermaid Part 2 (4k)

Here is the second part of my mermaid series. I don't know much about mermaids, except that they are creatures with something mystical about them who rise from the sea to turn men's heads. And then treacherously drown them in the sea. Fortunately, Margoreett (the one with 2 e's and 2 t's) didn't go quite that far. No, we had a lot of fun during the shoot. And the polyester costume was soon allowed to give way.

Solar Sheriff (4k)

People talk about solar power, and the sun truly has power in Tenerife. This applies not only to electricity generation but also to all biological beings. So not just those with chlorophyll, but also for us humans. The sun does something to us. And I'm trying to capture this in some form with this photo series.

Clinomania (4k)

Perhaps you're wondering what Clinomania is. It sounds somewhat dubious. But it fits so well with this set. Clinomania refers to the extreme tendency to stay in bed and not get up. It can be a weekend phenomenon. With black stockings, I believe the effect on testosterone levels is enhanced.

This is Beraca, filmed by me in Tenerife in February 2025. I mean, we stand in a dead end by a beach and the location is really not special. But look how beautiful the colors of the sea are.

I'm not a fashion photographer, but I have to say that I really liked this crocheted item. The lonely mill in Fuerteventura has often been my location and because it was brutally windy on my trip, I went there sheltered from the wind (somehow absurd that a windmill is sheltered from the wind).

Unforgettable moments: Doing the dishes while a porn star sleeps in the bedroom. Yes, that's the life of a nude photographer, too, sometimes. I had to smile myself. But I was really pleased that Baby Nicols was so sweet and liked my food.

Once I had the pictures for my book in the can, I photographed her in a bit of underwear. And doesn't she look cute with her glasses?

Mallorca Vibes, 4k

Unfortunately, redheads eventually die out because dark genes are more dominant. It's a shame, because I always find red hair special. And that's why there's a photo series here with a pale redhead on Mallorca. A kind of road trip in the south of the island.

Mermaid Part 1, 4k

This is my secret favorite beach on Tenerife. However, it is quite an arduous half-hour walk to get there. Only some locals drive very close to it in their cars, but I still haven't found out which route they take. Because there is no road at all. Not even a dirt track. Well, I don't want to get stuck in the middle of nowhere in a rental car. So I'll probably walk in the future too.

In the pandemic, Maria slipped away from me once because she had Covid. She then sent me a medical certificate confirming that she was corona positive. It wouldn't have been necessary now, I would have believed her.

Luckily, we were able to catch up on our shoot in Prague in 2024. That was great.

Jelena loves dressing up. And so I bought a teddy blanket or whatever you call this strange thing and brought it to the shoot in Strasbourg.

I like to work with existing light. If you're in a dark apartment, it's helpful if the light from outside is strong. In other words, powerful. It is bright. In film, you like to work with giant spotlights outside. You don't need them in Athens. Even in October it was still bright enough and I really enjoyed it (to be able to work under such conditions).

Signals to Silence, Part 1, 4k

I'm just back from Tenerife and have some wonderful photos with Kira. It was windy during our shoot and in the background motocross riders were riding through the prairie like deranged people. It was loud. In addition, a person lives in the container in the background (unfortunately true) and we were on his property, so to speak. All situations in which other models quickly become nervous. Kira stayed cool a hundred times over and was completely in her element.

Barefoot Monday, Video 4k

When you book a model and only find out on location that she likes to be filmed, it feels like hitting the jackpot. We barely had time because we had to check out of the hotel at 12 noon. So we quickly drove to the beach in the morning. And poof, here's Kira in Tenerife, on the beach.

This is one of my oldest photo series. Back then, I took them in my own photo studio in Frankfurt. It was my “table phase”, so to speak, in which I photographed models on my wallpapering tables.

I was already fascinated by black lingerie back then. And I attached great importance to styling.

I learned one thing from it: never throw away props. Because that's what I did back then. I bought these cool decorative diamonds in a department store in Zur...

Papyrus Paradiso, Part 1, 4k

I always wanted to photograph an artist. And as I don't know any painter who'd take their clothes for me, I had to make this up on my own. So I took a photo from my first shoot with Olivia, drew the outlines on a white sheet of paper and cut them out and glued them to a blue board. And now, all I needed was her to become my artist. Some might call this overthinking, I call it a photo story.

Call Me Elfa, Frankfurt, 2024

Elfa, or "Call me Elfa" how she calls herself, visited me in Frankfurt and I was just in my "I need to see a model wearing a bodysuit once again" phase, so I asked her to put this thing on. She is such a lovely model, I definitely want to shoot with her again soon.

Wash Me (I'm Dirty), 4k

Melissa Mendini, Frankfurt, 2009

This is a set from the very first meeting with Melisa Mendini (I never know if you spell her name Melisa or Melissa). She was such a 'work machine'. And to this day, these are the best showering photos, I have ever taken. The shower is basic, nothing special, but the way she posed was just so real, she totally got me with this. And all I had to buy was a yellow sponge and bathing foam. Sometimes, the simplest setups are the best.

Today's fashion offerings are, how shall I put it, sometimes very surprising. If this is supposed to be sportswear, then good night. But of course it suits me. So I bought this sexy one-piece immediately and gave it to my model for the shoot. She made such a fuss that I had to be careful that all the neighbors didn't come running to the fence, because we were working in public.

A decade ago, girls from Poland were really amazing. It was super cool working with Alex. Nowadays, I am sure, Polish girls are still great, but they hide well, so I never have them on my radar anymore, lately. I wonder what Alex is doing today.

After our initial 'get to know each other' shoot with almost no nudity, I spontaneously asked Mika, if she had time for a shoot in the early morning. And she said yes. The good thing was that I already knew how slim she was, so I picked the right underwear for her size.

The switch from DSLR to mirrorless needed some time for experimentation. Thea came along and I tried out shooting with almost no light. Or let's say: available light in winter. No sun. Only room lighting.

Janey was the first porn star I ever had in front of my lens. I had no idea, she was one. During the shoot, she told me but she wasn't sure how I would think of this, so she said, "when I was 18, I did this..." and my jaw dropped. And even more, when I later found out. You can't not google when someone tells you this, right?

She was such a wonderful model to work with that it's a bit of a shame, she disappeared out of sight all of a sudden.
