Feet and Finances, 4k

Lina Linn, Prague, 2023

A foot lover approached me and asked me, if I knew any models with beautiful feet. I did not have to think long. Lina has very cute, tiny feet and she always care for pedicure, so they look soft and the nails have a french pedicure (natural with this white bar at the top). I took a few dollar bills, because I found it boring to photograph her feet just like that.

Sometimes a model brings underwear. Most of the time, we use the stuff I bring. But in this case, Avery was so on fire, I had to take some picture with her new heart-shaped body.

Fuerteventura Vibes (4k)

Medea, Fuerteventura, 2022

These images originally debuted in Playboy Germany. I shot with Medea under Fuerteventura's brilliant sun, and though I'd always thought windmills were a bit kitschy, I found myself falling a little bit in love with this location. I learned something valuable during this shoot - having a fixed point in a photo series really helps tell a story. Besides, the windmill is just a backdrop anyway. Who's looking at it, right?

Blue Hour, 4k

Effy, Fuerteventura, 2024

When I picked up Effy at the airport, once again, I had this feeling: Wow, she's a model. You see this in a woman even when she's dressed. With Effy, somehow, I work differently. She brings clothes and I photograph her taking these off. It's a bit different from my usual sets, but somehow, it became our thing to shoot like this. And when you see her in a blue bra, you already kind of know where this will lead to: me asking her to take it off, for you.

Costal Calm (4K)

Margoreett, Tenerife, 2024

I spend countless hours planning shoots abroad, like some kind of digital explorer, cruising through Google Maps to scout the perfect locations. I'll zoom through entire neighborhoods, switch to 3D view, and rotate through different perspectives - and that's exactly how I discovered this spot where I could photograph Margoreett among the rocks by the sea.

Bavarian Badass Part 2 (4k)

Here comes part two of my laid-back BMW photo series from my old hometown. Deliberately dreamy, a bit retro, and featuring a car that brought me so much joy precisely because it's kind of trashy in its own way. Add in that kitschy cornfield and everything else around it - this is exactly the kind of stuff I love doing.

This was one of my very last shoots with my bulky Canon 1ds MKIII camera. I loved it, but it was so unpractical that I really don't miss it.
I was in love with the apartment that I had booked in Paris. The people who lived there were cool with the shoot. And I am a sucker for old furniture, floors and all that. Katia is fantastic.

Melisa Mendini had - and still has - an incredibly devoted following. In fact, quite a few people wrote to me asking if I could dig through my archives for more photos of her. So I drove to my vault (which, by the way, is way better than cloud storage, but that's a story for another day) and fished out these gems, giving them a fresh edit.

Frankfurt isn't exactly known for its coolness. For a while, I used to wander its streets like a urban treasure hunter, always searching for locations or interesting things to discover. I seem to have this thing with fake ears. Sometimes it's cat ears in my shoots, this time it had to be fox ears. I buy these accessories because I spot them somewhere and find them inspiring. And just like that, a comic or cartoon series was born. A tall, slender redhead in an apartment filled with comic character collectibles - everything just clicked into place. And suddenly, my ear fetish doesn't seem so strange anymore.

I live just a stone's throw from the Roomers Hotel in Frankfurt. During its construction, I passed by the site every day. As soon as it was finished, I mustered up the courage to walk up to reception and ask for permission to do a photo shoot. I absolutely love working with athletes. There's something special about photographing someone who truly knows their body - someone who can twist and bend and strike these amazing, unusual poses. It's a real treat for a photographer.

And when the whole session is filled with such great vibes that I have to remind myself to keep shooting between fits of laughter - well, that's when my work becomes pure joy.

I will not forget working in this apartment. I had to pick up the keys in the bar and surprised the cleaning lady when opening the door. The place was so tiny, yet a perfect backdrop for shooting. And Lara is unforgettable as well.

You Fit Into Me, 4K

This series was taken in a tiny but cute Parisian apartment right across the street from university Sorbonne. Anato was great in posing. The best model I had photographed in a while. She was not used to getting directions from photographers and I was not used to a model that poses by herself. A funny collission of workflows, resulting in good photos nevertheless.

Heavy Rain Tomorrow

Sometimes I look back at photographs and barely can remember the model's name. Or like in this case, I only can remember her real name, but not the one that I am allowed to post. I took the images under a shower in the nearest hotel to my apartment.

Sometimes, it's difficult for me to spell a model's name. And I get this red wavy underline in my browser when writing Margoreett. I assume, she did this on purpose, to stand out. At least, she is a funny person and I can only recommend to go on a trip with her, like I did. Best part is: She doesn't give a damn, if someone sees her in the bare which is great for outdoor shoots.

These are some of the rare photos that I photographed in my own photo studio in Frankfurt. Somehow it feels cool to say that I used to own a studio, but while I had it, it was just a pain in the ass. I felt uninspired and searching to find my artistic self. This was part of the journey: hot and cold. With a puppet face, so beautiful and amazing. This is Lia.

What a beauty! I was amazed when I discovered Elfa. She brings freshness, youth, self-esteem and agility together. I was very happy to work with her and had this wonderful feeling of "I need to see her again" after the shoot.

Some models are shy and other are the opposite. Bernadette is loud, self-confident and fun. I had this idea of photographing a series in the streets of Frankfurt. I named the series Alley Cat, even before I took the images. This was all well-prepared. I found a street artist who prepared the alley cat bracelet for me, bought all the styling and even made the shoes look older by dragging them through the streets while riding my bike.

These images, photographed on a heavy medium format camera, were published a few times. Somehow, I was surprised, because by far these aren't my best images. But this is always very subjective. After all, Zoi was very beautiful. Only extremely difficult for me to understand as she spoke with a strong Scottish accent.
