Found a bridge to get under, Josh caught one little fish and tossed it out on a bigger hook as bait. About 4 beats after it smacked the water, here came the pelican from somewhere above us. Josh had to reel it in while I climbed down, but it was a 2 person job. We feel so bad for the poor bird, but when he realized we were trying to free him, he was quite calm.

We have arrived

Just a quick update. We have arrived in Jupiter area, have been up for almost 32 hours, with a brief nap in the middle, trying very hard not to take it out on each other 😆

Passing out as soon as possible, we will be out on the water all day tomorrow. This is why we made the drive! Fingers crossed the local fishes are hungry for shrimp 🍤

Hoping this breaks the nearly 60 day streak of no videos on YouTube, it has indeed been a boring winter so far.

Blew the Whistle

Came so close tonight!  If you saw my post right before this one, you know that we had these two ease up right in our blind spot, between the mesh windows.  They took around 12 minutes from the first time they appeared on camera to the time the buck blew, but we actually didn't know they were there until about 2 minutes before the Blow.  Sneaky shits! 

The wide angle lense does make them look a lot further off than they were, and I know there's a big loss of quality ...

Our blind has mesh windows, and solid parts. This bi**h stayed perfectly in my blind spot all the way from the wood line to my window. I have such a wide view from my seat that I don't usually bother checking the narrow views behind the solid tent parts. I guess she knew that!

I just wanted to say a quiet thankyou, because of yalls subscriptions, we were in a good place to help people that we know in Clarksville, where one of the tornados hit. Josh has a mom, grandma, 2 sisters, 4 nieces and 2 nephews right in the city. They were all lucky, but we are networking through them to other locals who weren't so fortunate.

We began our charity work almost exactly 3 years ago to the day, when a similar line of tornados hit us directly and we were up shit creek. Aft...

I really wanted to bring a new element into the garden videos for the 2024 season, and one thing I've always wanted to do is raise butterflies.

I've just ordered 450 seeds for Swamp Milkweed (pictured above), a Monarch's favorite snack and breeding ground.

In Spring we'll build a simple frame about the size of the little greenhouse, cover it with a mesh fabric, and raise anywhere from 40 to 100 Endangered Monarch Butterfli...

My Big Sister wanted to go tan for her birthday, I figured I could do the level 2 since I'm always on a beach. Man I went 12 MINUTES! I didn't think much until a few hours later, I absently scratched my belly and it LIT ON FIRE! Holy God now I remember why I don't do this.
