I'd been in such a terrible slump last week and barely done any work and got to that point of just dreading it... but then I got to inking this scene and it was very nice and zen to scribble horrible grody details. I guess some fleshy horror was all I needed. :'D
Of course, future me may hate coloring this scene because there's so much going on, but that's not present me's problem!

I bonked the camera near the end of the pencils stage. Don't remember what caused it but I do remember my hand was freaking COLD while working on that batch of pages. I really wish I could wear gloves while drawing but having anything around my wrist or up any higher than the rolled up hoodie sleeve (yes it's a creeper hoodie) is asking for arm pain. My drawing hand is an intolerable diva.

sorry that I've missed a bunch of WIP posts! life has been... a little crazy and it seems like the weeks alternate between speeding by and crawling past over an eternity. Gonna try to get scan crops to post as WIPs against soon. In the meantime, I wanted to say I got the first 12 pages of the current chapter done!
It feels weird sometimes to be so far ahead, pages are usually only a month old but in the past year I've been working on an extra page a month to build a buffer, ...

Why yes, I did add a toilet paper advertisement to the page just this morning.
I put the narration through multiple edits on this page but I'm still feeling kind of hmmmmmmm about it. I don't know if I've just been thinking it over too much and it's lost all meaning or not. Dialogue is always the hardest part for me, there are times it comes easy but this was not one.

Wasn't really until this morning that I thought I could have had her destroy the bed with her sheer weight, but I was in a Little Nemo nostalgia mood at the time I made this and wanted that fall off the bed ending. Honestly, Carla's bed is probably just some really flattened mattresses on the floor at this point!

Could I have done all this text digitally? yes. Would it have been easier? definitely yes. But I get concerned about text in background elements looking too perfect and distracting from the rest.
Did you know that women require much less food and oxygen than men to survive, and their smaller statures mean they require less fuel to move around in space? Easy excuse to have an all-female space mission.
