I'm so sorry about this, but I won't be able to post the next parts of the Bessie and Sigrid sequences this week. Last weekend and a good chunk of this week were unusually stressful and caused delays, so I figured that it would be better to focus on making art assets for the game instead of trying to catch up to this week's content. Sorry for posting this so late. There's not a whole lot to say about last week, though, since much of the time was spent making and rendering art assets for the game (specifically for Sigrid's home).

[Pin-up] Cat Girl With Mirrors

So back in July, the cat girl won the last pin-up poll I ran. Before my old computer died, I had actually finished this scene, so I figured that I'd render it now that I'm able to. This also gave me the opportunity to try rendering mirrors with the new hardware, since it's a lot more resource intensive than other kinds of scenes.

I tested Daz Studios out on the new computer. While this artwork may not be that sexy, it did allow me to test several different functions in one scene. Also, I just thought it was kind of cool. >w>

The new computer is significantly faster than my old one, but it's not that noticeable when it comes to actual rendering. The reason for this is that my old computer had two really good GPUs, while every other component was eight years old. So while it could render quickly, doing anyth...

So I know I was supposed to release a new update for the game (even if it would've been tiny) yesterday, but my plans ended up changing. What I had planned on doing last Thursday was to go through a bunch of royalty free music in order to put together a soundtrack for the game, but then I got a message from UPS saying that they were going to deliver a package between 1PM and 5PM, and a message from the postal service saying that they were going to deliver one between 5PM and 10PM. Hi, y'all. So... unfortunately I got some more bad news. :/

So as it turns out, the motherboard I got is not compatible with the Threadripper PRO 5000WX series processors. It's possible to make it compatible by updating its BIOS, but doing so requires you to use an older processor that is compatible with the motherboard out-of-the-box, which I don't have.

With some help, I tried multiple times to circumvent this by using the BIOS FlashBack on the back of the motherboard, ...

After finishing the assembly of the new computer and switching it on, I ran into a major problem. It wasn't outputting any signal whatsoever to the screen. And so in the hopes of pinpointing whatever is causing this issue, I've been switching out components.

I tried switching out the GPU. Still nothing.

I tried switching out the RAM. Still nothing.

Next, I'm going to try to remove the thermal paste (I just used the one tha...

Hi, y'all!

So first things first, I have not worked on the game this week, so sorry about that. The reason why I haven't worked on it is because I've been building my new computer. :3

Now, it's not done yet. I'm still waiting for some additional fans and extension cables, which will be delivered on Tuesday. This monster is air cooled, so I want to make sure that I have as many fans as I can fit in the case installed before I dare turn it on.

This week I continued to overhaul the code. I honestly wished that I had something more exciting than that to share, but although doing this is pretty tedious, I'm confident that it will improve the game in the long run.

More Bad News - FML Edition

So after several delays, my new computer was finally delivered today. However, I quickly noticed that something was wrong as the package it had come in was damaged. Then, when the delivery guy tipped it to the side so that we could carry it inside, there was a loud rattle within the computer. It almost sounded like a box of Legos, but with bigger pieces. As such, I asked him to send it back.

Suffice it to say that I am pissed.

And I am so incredibly sorry, y'all....

After going over Flurby's incredible work with his mod, I decided to start overhauling some of the game's code this week in order to make it more flexible and efficient. If it turns out the way I hope, it will allow me to give characters more dynamic schedules.

I know a lot of you want me to add new visual content to the game, but since my main computer is dead and its replacement has yet to be delivered, I'm currently unable to create any visual assets. This is why I'm using this time ...
