Just getting into my stride with the assembly phase as i go to fit the heat shield to the fuel tank i think to myself where's the bracket, i go find it and think oh yeah i forgot i had to make a new one of those! tools away and straight back into fabrication mode the joys of restoration you always forget something. The new calipers....well new to me have finally arrived! As you can see they are in a pretty sorry state but the price was right and after all this is RRC Restoration, they will soon be glossy red and rebuilt and ready to stop a very angry 400BHP GC8. So just brainstorming a few ideas for more projects next year and i thought maybe it would be cool to buy a smashed sports car and rebuild at as well as do a few mods to it? What do you all think? I was thinking along the lines of Impreza, evo, M3 , c63, rs4 etc.
Or even a vintage/retro sports car that needs some restoration would be cool?

It always amazes me the mess you can reveal when sand blasting parts. The initial plan was to repair this piece but after blasting and revealing the mess the tin worms had left it will be far more cost and time effective to simply source a good replacement from the states.
