Changes to oil

We are developing and finishing a new way to make alternative oil more rewarding and improving the game ore generation. Once finished, this new system will plot just one kind of oil on map. Orbital factory

When we talk about space...is for real space now :D Take that as an appetizer for what may come in the mod suite. Your new partner

Cross-breeding native Arthurian DNA with Phadais and you can create loyal critters which will help you in important mining tasks. :) Theyre useful, theyre nice and theyre cute. Yes...its another of "those" things. XD  No enemy will dare to attack such cute cat-lizard dudes.

Dingrit Space Program

Some advanced biological and material research demands you to do that research in zero gravity environment. More advanced and re-usable rockets are the key to keep your production flowing. That the the 3 stages of rockets are done, I need to take a goooooood time facing my most hateful evil.... the Silo. Theres nothing worse in factorio than model a rocket silo. I will give it a try, but no guarantees I will succeed. If not, we will send these beauties in that rusted vanilla ones.

Seaweed

Do you want seaweed as modules? So go and grab some from water. The pyAL mechanics will be applied to seaweed, moss, wood and sap. Each one you probably can get from map. Moss, for example...randomly from chopping trees.

The fly-a-van

Well.. not the real name yet xD But yes. Soon, after some tests we will have a flying version of the caravan. But it wont suffer from the land issues since it can fly over anything. A heavily altered trits-whale hybrid with mechanical parts to allow carrying goods inside and also be lighter than air. We still don't know if its more machine or more creature, you sure pushed the limits in that integration.


 It will works like the caravan, will pick and deliver huge amounts...

The Logistic Station

Better than trains!! Use huge underground alien worms to get and deliver your goodies. And best of all, don't even need to lay a path. These creatures will find the way automatically between stations due their potent pheromone tracking. Any station will share the contents with all other stations with the same ID. So you can create your own underground network. But trains will still be useful, this huge beauty wont be available until youre mid-path to purple science (post blue science).

GMO bee-wasp hybrid that into their complex organization and biological process they can extract their energy from very heavy hydrocarbons. And if you cultivate them, you can extract several for you too. Synthetic crude oil, bitumen, oil-sand...several heavy products from that creatures. Just feed it with combs, some flowers or fungus and you will have a biological way to get these great hydrocarbons.

When things got wrong

Mess with alien genetics is always a risk. When youre trying to breed your cottonguts for example (Since cottonguts are made based on earth mice DNA samples), there´s always a chance to produce a mutant or aberration version of the creature that are very aggressive. Here the mutated cottonguts, vicious giant alien rats. If they escape and become native, they will breed and became an army.

Cottonguts on the map!

Im working on the cottonguts to be an enemy too in the future pyAliens mod. Some of the creatures you have in your enclosures have their version outside it...others don't (like Auogs or Ulrics for example). And usually they will have 2 levels of evolution. This lil fella can carry more than a car, Run on meat (and some other stuff) and unlocks at red. Its the perfect companion to run around the base while it keeps getting bigger and bigger.

The Cottongut

Tiny mouse-inspired creatures you clone from earth and adapted to this planet. As much as on Earth, these critters are mainly used in science research. Its not required but if you add them in your science recipes, it will improve the output of them. Ive heard some animals also love to have that special delicatessen on their menu. The Dingrido

Congratulations when you reach blue science level. You will be able to make a peculiar, pYAlienLife themed vehicle. Evolve and breed an Alpha Dingrit. This big creature can be mounted and carry your stuff like a regular vehicle. With the bonus of run over any obstacle or enemy. Just need some food :D

Ocula

People asked me to make an organic robot. But then I face a damn factorio limitation: ROBOTS CANT BE ANIMATED. They are just one sprite floating around and since there´s no way to make them animated, any attempt to make an organic bot would be weird because it would be static.

Bio Printing

Yes...once you have access to some techs, you can just start to print the parts you need. Face the bio printing as a way to recycle the unused animal parts you may don't want anymore. Instead of like...stockpile skin, why not start a culture with that cells, force them to go back to stem stage, and then use it to print brand new parts over a scaffold, like...meat...or a brain...and If you research that part enough, even advanced parts such the scrondrix´s pineal glands or dingrits spikes. The Chitosan

Energy Drinks!

A good way to use your crops on yourself! Make energy drinks to run faster in the map (while it lasts, or carry a bunch with you to keep running :D). Even some creatures will appreciate that extra energy.  But if you aren't a party animal, you can still use that precious sugar to make Ethanol. A good fuel for electricity.  That´s true potato power!

The Caravan

You can domesticate some creatures...but you can also create a creature just for help you carry stuff. These big tame creatures carries a good amount of resources from one outpost to another. We know you love robots, but they need energy and carry few items. They aren't that fast as flying robots, but with some of these beasts you can carry large amounts of stuff and you just need to feed them . They works with the same mechanics as the robots, so you don't need to learn again some logistics....

The Bio Reserve

Today, after long work we finished the Bioreserve. A place in that planet specially rich in biological material. Good to keep the gen pool rich in your research. Its your only minable resource in pyAL. Basically, all creatures will need some samples direct or indirect from that precious reserve. Its also good for research. It must have a special kind of collectors to gather the samples with minimum damage to that fragile ecosystem.
