Tsepish's Paint Tool Sai Brushes!

I've been meaning to post this for a while, but here are the basic brushes I use in Paint Tool Sai. I'd say I use these 5 brushes about 90% of the time in my work, with #3 and #4 being used the most.

A couple of these brushes use textures that do not come with Paint Tool Sai initially, so I've included them with instructions on how to install. The .rar file is included in this post. Please feel free to share them around, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!

Progress gif for Lunara

Mini progress gif for the Lunara image! I really tried to keep it painterly and not overwork this much.

Steps in order:

Sketch - messy base. Mostly fleshing out the main pose.

Refine sketch - using the same brush that I sketched in, I made a new layer and went over Lunara herself to make the lines a little cleaner and bolder.

Base Colors - On a layer underneath the 2 sketch layers, I blocked in the colors I wanted to use. I also set the "refined sketch" layer ...

Final Lunara update.. done?

I always tell myself to wait and not post anything the night I "finish" something.. but you guys get to see it before everyone else. :P I'll probably find a bunch of stuff I'd like to change about it in the morning though, we'll see!

Daily Warm-up 020816

Speedpaint for @Faebelina, who happens to have a birthday today! I was trying to limit myself to under an hour for this one, just to see how much I could really get done, so its not really fully polished or anything. :) 

Full PSD of this will be included in the files for this month so you can see just how messy it really is close up! hah :P

Currently working on these two and hoping to get them finished today or tomorrow. ^^

As an update, I'll be sending out Etsy codes via PM at some point later today. :) Those of you that receive the PSD files will have to wait, as I was hoping to include this orc portrait for and the Lunara image for this round. Work and IRL stuff has put me a bit behind schedule, but things seem to be simmering down finally and I'm going to spend most of next week trying to finish all that up!

Warmup sketch for the day!

@Faebelina posted a gorgeous little painting of her druid in the Emerald Nightmare, and I just instantly got inspired to do something similar.  Arch Druid Verdandy isn't going down without a fight though! This is a very rough thumbnail of what I'd like to do - but its going to be a while before I can focus on painting it.

Thanks for the inspiration Fae! Time to work on getting some commissions done. :)

Lunara sketch wip!

An update on my Lunara process! After a lot of debating and sketching, I finally decided on which thumbnail I wanted to use. I adjusted it a little bit and changed some things around, so I'm mostly happy with it so far. I had a lot of trouble trying to figure out what I should be doing with her hands - initially I had her other hand holding the spear, but realised that I need to change things up because the spear would be off frame and the positioning of the arms and hands just didn't look all t...

Witchsona!

its #witchsona week, so I decided to do another one! I'd like to think mine would love to make like.. magical alchemy cookies to help people. I don't know. :P

 I recently "upgraded" to Photoshop CC 2015, so I painted this in it. Took maybe an hour or so to finish. Really not used to Photoshop, but it was nice to "paint" something again! :)

Deer doodles~

Nothing super spectacular today, but I'm going to try and make an effort to post all my process when I do something! So after thumbnailing my Lunara/Dryad painting, I had a lot of trouble trying to figure out just how to draw her lower half! Today I spent a little time researching some deer and did some very quick ( about 30 sec each) gesture doodles from some photos. :)

Sketches and Patreon box updates!

Hey guys! I just wanted to let those of you who get the monthly boxes/packages, that they've been shipped. :) ETA is on Monday for those of you in the US, but there is a large snowstorm coming through right now so it might delay any packages.
