Hello everyone,

First update for Playnite 7 is now available.

New:

  • Option to import Humble Trove games
  • Grouping by installation status
     

Fixed:

  • Windows are not dimmed properly if message box is displayed
  • Toolbox includes backup files in packaged .pthm theme files
  • Steam game soundtracks being imported as games

Playnite 6 is now available!

Hello everyone,

Playnite 6 is now ready for download. Poll for Playnite 7 feature prioritization will be available in couple days. 

Default metadata download settings will be reset after updating to Playnite 6.  If you use non-default settings then make sure you reconfigure them  after update.

Also web view component was updated in this release, which means that you may need to re-authenticate some account connections.

5.0 version si now available!

Stable 5.0 release is now available and can be downloaded. Since this is distributed to you (patrons) first, you will have to download it manually, auto-update won't pick it up.

The new theming support and extension SDK changes are available in this version, but documentation is not finalized as well as some support tools that should help with theme/plugin development. 5.0 status update

Hello everyone,

In the last status report I mentioned that 5.0 release is scheduled for the end of February. Sadly I was unable to dedicate enough time needed for Playnite's development to reach that date. Currently I'm able to put more time into it, but I think I won't be able to release 5.0 by the end of March. Maybe beta version for testing, but definitely not fully polished version.

I would definitely like not to release 5.0 later then in April, since a lot of refactoring done...
