Today, I am super excited to introduce you to a Japanese rock band that you may not have heard of, but you absolutely need to know about! They're called One OK Rock, and they're pretty amazing. They have been making waves in the international music scene with their unique sound that combines alternative rock, emo, post-hardcore, and pop punk. Formed in Tokyo, Japan, in 2005, the band consists of Takahiro Moriuchi on vocals, Toru Yamashita on guitar, Ryota Kohama on bass, and Tomoya Kanki on drums. Yes, I know, those names might sound like a tongue twister if you're not used to Japanese, but let me assure you, their music is universal.
This band was so determined to make music, they originally used to practice at one o'clock in the morning because it was cheaper to use the rehearsal space during off-hours. Talk about dedication! That's where their name comes from: "One OK Rock" is a play on "one o'clock". These guys have been active since 2005 and were initially affiliated with Amuse, Inc. However, they left in 2021 to establish their own management agency, 10969 Inc. In the United States, they are signed with the record label Fueled by Ramen.

Hey everyone. Just a little note to acknowledge that I've been MIA for about a week now and, while I'm hopeful that I'll be able to start dipping my toe in again this weekend, at the moment at least, I'm not actually feeling much better.
As it says in my title, as far as I know, my life isn't in danger or anything that grave (and it's nothing to do with Covid 19). Just some things I need to tend to that are causing a fair amount of pain...and a little more discomfort.

Hey everyone. Just a little announcement of a video I'm posting today at 11am CST. I'm giving this heads up because it's a very unusual video and I'm actually really uneasy about posting it. Several of you have expressed that I seem like there's something on my mind lately or asked if I'm ok and I've said that I will explain...well that's what that will be. It ended up being much longer than I meant for it to be but I didn't edit it at all. It was all recorded in obs exactly how it is presented. It felt important that I not touch it.
IMPORTANT: You absolutely do not have to watch it and it will not hurt my feelings in the least if you choose not to. It's pretty intense and pretty personal and has nothing to do with music reactions or any of the artists that we love. But if you choose to watch it I would like your opinion. I'm trying to decide if I should release it onto YouTube at some point. Maybe edit it down for YouTube, I don't know. But I have been feeling that I'm growing so fast over there and it might be time to try and let the YouTube family get to know me on a little more of a personal level.

Just a quick note to let you guys know that things are hopefully and finally settling in here at the house with the add-on and the new recording space and everything. I have my fingers crossed that by next weekend (give or take a few days) I will be in the new space and I will have a lot more freedom to open up the times I am able to do things like live stream, record, etc. This is, however causing a little bit of upheaval this weekend so I don't know if I'm going to be able to make the live stream happen. I will make sure to record something over the weekend if the livestream doesn't happen, I hope that is enough to let you know I'm still thinking of you.
In addition, I think it's time to shift things just a little. I am planning on going back to my normal Fabian Friday schedule where I post a Lara Fabian poll and subsequent video each Friday. The live stream will still happen but it will no longer be 100% Lara centric or a Patreon exclusive. I will still try to have a Patreon only Q&A style stream for at least a half an hour before taking the stream public AND I am working on other ways to offer the Patreon members even more perks for your support.
