Hotfix for Update 11

Heya everyone,

It's been a long time that I had to push an hotfixed version.

Update 11

Hey everyone,

I updated itch with the new release.

This update is lighter that what I planned and focus on some mini games and new mecanisms. I'm a bit bummed that I couldn't fit in all the new UI but I really want to take the needed time to make it great. I also didn't get to finish the store and supermarket, and instead focused on the new diaper club area and the story follow-up.

Update on progress

Hey everyone,

Just a quick post today about my progress. Mostly wraping things up, I should be able to release the update early next week.  

I didn't get as much progress as I wanted on trickier UI like the inventory or the equipment. I really want it to be polished and I didn't like what I've gotten so far. However, I got some progress on others small things. Mostly, the mouse support should be robust enough now to be used.

Throwing around

Heya,

While polishing all that I did (adding VFX, sound effects and all..) I decided to add a throw mecanism to the game. It was already planned and fit nicely with the fact that you can now also hit at close range.

The idea here is that some hand-equiped items will be throwable to various effect. The rattle, for example, will get the same effect than a close-range hit : the NPC will get stunned for a few seconds.

Queen of the playground

Hey everyone,

I spent the last few days creating and polishing the in-and-out of a new mini game. The concept is really simple, I iterated over the bratty diaper club member claiming to be the queen of the playground to create a mini-game based on that concept.

It's basicaly a king of the hill game, where you have to compete to control the playground, in a best-of-three fashion.

Reworking HUD

Hey everyone,

Theses last days, I decided to work on the HUD. My main goal while reworking it,except making it prettier, of course, is to better convey important informations.

For example, I received a lot of message regarding the maturity bar and what it does. I also think clustering all  the information a small panel was not the best way to do it.

Polishing before release

Hey everyone,

Nothing exciting today.Every big work for this  update is done so I'm focusing on smalls tasks left hanging.  

I finished adding props and stuff to the new version of the  libray. There won't be astonishing new content right now, I focused mainly on ensuring nothing's broken. Library Rewamp

UI changes

Heya,

Nothing exciting in term of gameplay today. I spent a fair amount of time polishing a new UI so it's far better in term of visuals and navigation. The old UI was getting out of touch and was giving a very "prototype" kind of feel.

Debug and Cheats

This week I decided to improve a feature that I was using for testing purpose and extend it so  it's usable for everyone.

So, starting next update, you'll get access to a "true" debug terminal that could also be used to cheat the game. Back to work

Heya,

After planning a lot of small tasks, I started progressing on the game again the last week. The next update will probably add up a lot of small things, along some side quests for the diaper club.

Bets and punishments

Heya,

So, after completing the first diaper club mini-game,I was thinking it couldn't really be called complete without some stakes.

I designed two full event so whatever NPC you're playing against will compete against you in a win-or-get-punished race. And let's say the loser will probably have to get changed...

Diaper club progress

Hey everyone,

I've made some progress lastly  on the diaper club, which will be the main focus of the next update. 

I've put all the backend logic I was working on to test to first create like a bouncer, that will detect when you enter if you're not padded (or if you had an accident). After all, why would you want to enter a  diaper club without wearing one?

More NPC Behaviours (and other stuffs)

Changing diapers

Heya everyone,

I made great progress over the last few day over the changing diaper event. This is a feature that a lot of you legitimately wanted and that was until now "hidden" by a black screen. But I worked on how create better custom animations, and while the result is nowhere near perfect, I think it's far better than a fading black screen.

So, starting the next update, you'll be able to  ask for a caregiver for  a change, and this will trigger a mini cutscene.

Quick hotfix

Hey everyone,


A really quick post today to warn you that I uploaded another hotfix that correct one small but annoying bug : The game can freeze and softlock when you use the new "skip first level content".

As this can completely lock you out of the game, I decided to quickly fix it and not wait for the next release. There are no other changes, so thoses who don't plan to use this feature don't have to dowload the game again.

Hotfix for update 8

Heya,


So, here's the traditionnal hotfix release. Overall, no game-breaking bugs were reported, so that's a very good point. The only  structural changes are as follow :

  • Corrected a bug that prevented the teacher to correctly match up her definitive position in the back alley
  • Scraped up a condition that was making talking at least once to Jason required to progress in the game, so you can totally ignore him if he's bothering you.

Hey everyone,

I just updated itch with the new release. I play-tested it all day long, and, while I'm pretty sure most of the game-breaking bugs are corrected, I'm nearly certain I'll have to release an hotfix in the next few days. The game is gaining deepness and complexity, and, while it's a good thing, it also mean I cannot expect to detect every bug alone.

Heya everyone,

A really short post today. I'm in the starting blocks for finishing the update and you're definitely getting a release this week.

Right now, I'm polishing a few things, creating last minute details and more than anything else, I'm playtesting a lot to uncover as much bugs as I can. I prefer to be honest, you'll probably stumble on a few ones because the level give you a lot of freedom and it's very hard to cover every base.
