Audio - Episode 3 - The VENUS
Rereading the book for an initial editing pass and decided to give recording a try. Forgive the quality. This was my first attempt at this, and my microphone is a potato. Also, I am in no way a professional voice actor.
Don't know if I'll do the whole book, but if you guys like it, I'll give it a go.

The screen flashes with a light so intense that nothing beyond a singular blanket of white can be seen for some seconds. Then, there comes a scream.
It is as short-lived as it is soul-destroyingly final—the kind of scream that makes a person sit up, if only to hope its source is from no one you might know. Or might ever have known, even in passing. And silently you pray that whe...

Well, this chapter certainly kicked my ass. I ended up writing and deleting something like 1500 words from it during the process. I keep getting lost in character conversations instead of keeping focused on the overall narrative. But this should be okay.
Hopefully, the book will be done within the next chapter or two. So stay tuned!

Naomi paused in her restless pacing to fling her hands into the air. “Yes! Can you believe that? The stupid piece of garbage finally learns to communicate in English, and the first thing it does is insult me! I don’t know whether to be pissed off or impressed.”
Mark's lip twisted with amusement. Naomi was Naomi, af...

The camera zooms in on a lone figure perched atop a low hill deep under the ocean. Long strands of moss gently sway with the current surround him, harmless overall but often enough wrapping about a bit of tubing or sucking into his breathing apparatus to be a nuisance. The figure pauses his task just long enough to violently thrash about himself, perhaps hoping to finally clear enough space to ...

I know it’s interfering with the cameras. I’m not blind. But it’s important we document everything as accurately as we’re able. A solid evidence chain is crucial when it comes to academic peer review.

First off, awesome work with the dev edit. As a whole the book was so much clearer this time around. Hopefully it didn't take too-extensive rewrites to make that happen, but the parts where I could tell you added in just a few more clarifying sentences really landed much better. Great job o...

Mark peered out from the lip of the rock, cautiously waiting.
He had figured out a few things over the last half hour, and one of those was how to predict when the next shot was coming. Whatever kind of gun their assailant was using had a peculiar whine to it, as if it needed to charge up between shots. It had to get to a certain pitch before it could fire. And once it had been, there was almos...

Difficult to say for certain. However… zoom in there. Note the pattern in the carbon scoring. The blast marks are all over the place, particularly centered around the landing pod.
