On #sp-alpha, Wolfram has been giving updates as he works on the new engine and he's making some substantial progress. Every time I chime up with 'uploaded!' that means the web is updated too and you can play it on the platform of your choosing.

Gargoyle - Right now, these flying stone-creatures are fairly inconsequential. How about we revamp them into bigger, statuesque gargoyles, more alike the one found in the Gargoyle Sentry event? Scenes would be adjusted to better match their appearance and more would be written.

Reindeer - Definitely needs some love. The Reindeer does not even have victory scenes, and its existing ones are fairly short. How about we make him into a proper encounter?

Combat

Hey, you know the combat system of FS pretty well. Do you want us to re-examine that? Or would you rather keep what we got?

Some of the core coders(of the new Godot engine) are thinking they can do better, and want to put time towards a more engaging system.

Android Preview

It's yesterday's preview, but on android! Put this file on your Android phone and run it and enjoy. It may prompt you that you have to allow unknown sources, so, you know, do that.

Bottom line is that, as you can now see, we will be able to compile to windows, mac AND android. A web version will also come later.

New Engine Preview

Everyone who is a patron gets this! There's not a lot here yet, I admit, but we're starting from nothing, and progress is being made. I just thought I'd share that with you as we work forward.

The .exe and .pck is for windows(you need both), the .zip is for mac.

Time to Move

We have resisted it with all our might, but it is time. Inform has served us well as an engine for many years, but it is dated and can't keep up with us. We've reached a point of not even being able to compile the huge mess that is the wonders of our game.

So, we want to move to a new code base. The trick there is twofold. 

One: We have to code the core engine into it.

Two: Content would then need to be re-added to the new engine.
