Christmas themed outfits from the shoot I did with Katya earlier in the week.
Have a merry Christmas all, and a happy new year, or just enjoy whatever break you get at this time of year if any. I am already on the road to see family, so probably won't be much posted next week, but I will get back to shooting and posting in January.
Technical: Shot at Tall Dark and Art studio on my Nikon D850 with NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G VR II lens (except the last 6 shot with the N...

This is a repost, however I lost my original edits in the Great Disk Crash Disaster of 2019. So I have processed these again, and I think you are getting higher quality photos this time around. Plus, the previous set was before Patreon's Gallery feature.
I worked on these again because I think I am g...

I did two shoots yesterday, a casual/fashion/Christmas themed shoot with Katya and an erotic shoot with Belinda.
I am hitting the road soon and can't take the computer, so expect these to hit the stream early next year.
In the meantime - have a joyous festive season and I look forward to more photography in the new year!

Here are the nude (implied) photos from the snake shoot.
Technical: Nikon D700 with NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E VR II lens. Lighting from 2 Nikon SB-800 speedlights placed in various places in the set. The snakes did not like to travel, so this was taken on a portable grey backdrop put up in the snake handler's dining room.

For the last part of this shoot, Aim & Belinda return to the chaise lounge and get a little intimate.
Technical: Nikon D850, NIKKOE 24-70mm f/2.8E lens. Lighting is from 2 Godox AD200pro flashes - one is in a 60cm softbox off to camera left to provide key light. The other on camera right pointed at the ceiling to have that disperse the light.

For the same art nude workshop that I posted about previously. The very back room at Storehouse Studio was tiny, but had a big frosted window, so was really made for natural light portraits.
Technical: Nikon D700, NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G VR II lens, natural light.

So here is the snake shoot I did with Cass back in 2014. I posted one photo from this back in May, and a recent prompt from a couple of Patrons reminded me to post the rest.
This was supposed to be, strictly speaking, an implied nude shoot, but a couple of nipple slips may have happened. Don't tell anybody!
Sadly this has been my only snake shoot - the snake handler I knew moved away (and sold all his snakes). Some day I will find another snake handler and try this again.

After I was happy with the lighting, I gave the direction, "Belinda, read your book. Aim, try to distract Belinda." Aim is very expressive, and eventually it worked.
Technical: Nikon D850, NIKKOE 24-70mm f/2.8E lens. Lighting is from 2 Godox AD200pro flashes - one is in a 60cm softbox off to camera left to provide key light. The other on camera right pointed at the ceiling to have that disperse the light.

Continuing this shoot I did with Rei Jade at a friend's home studio. There is still a fair bit to go, so stay tuned over the next few weeks.
We gave Rai a couple of singlet tops to play with.
Technical: Nikon D700 with NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G VR II lens. Lighting is from 2 Nikon SB28 speedlights shining into 3 white boards arranged in front of Rei - I am actually shooting through a hole in the middle board. Check the catch light in Rei's eyes. An additional flash i...

This was the first part of the workshop - Argh posing in her red lingerie and showing off her tattoos. This was set against a black backdrop with art style lighting.
Technical: Nikon D850 with NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E lens. Lighting is from 3 Bowens Gemini 400 studio flashes, two behind Argh on either side in strip softboxes with grids, the last one on a boom above me and to the left in an octagonal softbox with grid.

Second post from the duo shoot I did with Aim Stage and Belinda recently.
Technical: Nikon D850, NIKKOE 24-70mm f/2.8E lens. Lighting is from 2 Godox AD200pro flashes - one is in a 60cm softbox of to camera left to provide key light. I had a lot of trouble with fill light, as we were shooting in a small space and I kept getting reflections in the paintings. In the end I pointed the flash on camera right at the ceiling to have that disperse the light.

I am starting to publish a shoot I did with Rei Jade at a friend's home studio. My friend is a lighting fanatic, so there are some unusual set ups in this shoot, mostly using Nikon speedlights.
This was the warm-up part of the shoot, so Rei is wearing blue jeans, a blue bra and a sleeveless denim jacket. This set is mostly implied topless, but towards the end the bra is removed and the jacket is opened.

Argh Squiddy has been modelling in Melbourne for a while now and was kind of on my radar, but I did not have a chance to shoot her until a workshop last weekend organised by Tall Dark & Art. The shoot was extensive, incorporating lingerie, implied and art nude, but I am starting with these silhouette shots.
Technical: Nikon D850 with NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E lens. Light was a Bowens Gemini 400, shot into a 60-inch shoot-through white umbrella, shining on a white muslin...

Some years ago I ran workshops at a studio in Belgrave (in Melbourne's outer East). It was a great studio to use in a wonderful location, but sadly the owner went in a different direction (maintaining vintage cameras instead of portrait shooting) and the studio is no more.
This set is from a workshop I ran featuring Rei Jade, starting with some street photography around Belgrave before moving to lingerie and nude in the studio.

My choice of what to publish is heavily influenced by requests, so don't be afraid to drop me a note if there is something you'd like to see.
A new Patron requested photos of Rei Jade. Rei is a model from China who was living in Melbourne for a while, then disappeared, much to the disappointment of many Melbourne photographers.
I only got to shoot her a few times, and will publish those over the next few weeks (while I keep working on other requests).
This shot was a quick t...

Sorry to be quiet - the pollen count in Melbourne has been really high, and my eyes have not wanted to look at computer screens!
I have started work on the duo shoot I did with Aim & Belinda, still a lot to come!
This was shot in a small apartment in the middle of the city. It had this wall full of pictures, so some of the shots look like we were shooting in an art gallery.

I have had some more requests for Kiko photos, so here is another set from our first shoot together.
I was reminded of the shoot because Kiko recently posted one of these that I had converted to a pencil sketch for a bit of fun experimentation.

Kiko's red lingerie included a bra that was clearly too small for her - you can see she pops out of it in a few shots. We were in a flow, so it wa...

I had a request for more Jos, so I will publish the photos from this workshop.
This was the first time Jos had done a nude workshop (and I think only the second time she had shot nudes, although I think everyone there had shot her before), and this was the first set in the shoot. So we were all a bit nervous about asking Jos to reveal herself, until I asked if if would be OK for her to lower the strap enough to show her breast. "Der," she said, "That's why I'm here!"
This was shot...

As I may have mentioned, I have been on the road this week which has lowed down my output. I managed to get to Sydney for the first time in over 2 years!
On a whim I thought I would see if I could get a shoot in on the morning of my trip back to Melbourne - I started off this morning and get home tomorrow. I was very lucky to find Shay who could do an early morning shoot - we started at 7am.
The location was fabulous, these falls are right near Menangle Weir - I have been thinking...

Lace is an alt model (very alt, some would say). She has an extensive tattoo collection, and every time I see her she seems to have more. Lace has an interesting day job - she is Melbourne's only topless barber!
I have shot Lace a couple of times, don't know why I have not posted these before. This was a studio shoot from back in January - it was a "coming out of lockdown" shoot, little did we know that we would be back in lockdown soon enough!
Lace got out the knife and said...

From a studio session with Kiko that I shot a few years back, posing in front of a mirror.
Shooting with a mirror in a dark studio like this has its challenges. For a start, you essentially have to light two models. You also have to take into account what will be in the reflection - so there is a black backdrop behind the mirror so that around the edges will be black, but there is also a black backdrop set up to camera right. This makes sure that the Kiko in the mirror also has a black ...

Second half of the workshop I ran shooting Sara.
Technical: Nikon D850 with NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8D lens. Lighting from Godox MS300 studio flashes in various configurations. The first 15 shots use an interesting accessory - a focusing snoot. The snoot shines light through a cut out shape, and then a set of lenses in focus that shape on to a surface. In these shots a simple rectangle was focused on to the wall.

Earlier in the year I was running workshops in a nearby studio, but had to put it aside for a bit.
Sara is an Italian model living in Melbourne, and was the model at an art nude workshop I ran. I only just got around to processing the photos from that workshop, so here is the first set.
Technical: Nikon D850 with NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8D lens. Light from two Godox MS300 studio flashes, one behind the camera to the right in a 120cm umbrella softbox, the other behind Sara...

Here are the implied art nude shots from the shoot I posted earlier.
Technical: Nikon D700 with NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G VR II lens. Lighting was varied, using Bowens Gemini 400 studio flashes in various configurations to give light and shadow. I think all the shots have one coming in from the back in a beauty dish as a hair light to separate Sam's black hair from the dark background.

Going way back in to the archives - this shoot is almost 10 years old!
This was inspired by a Eurythmics concert I saw in the 80's. Annie Lennox periodically left the stage and would return wearing one less item of clothing, ending up in jeans and bra. Admittedly it was quite a hot night! So I thought I would try to recreate it, taking it a step further.
Unfortunately my lighting skills were not as good then, so I was not able to recreate the stage feel I wanted.
I met Sam a...

From a few years ago, this was part 2 of our shoot that day. Part 1 was at Organ Pipes National Park, where I have shot a few times. This section was just after dark in a car park in Melbourne's CBD.
We found a graffiti covered wall on an upper level, and used it as a backdrop. It was a bit cold, but Sass is very brave.
It was always my intention to process these images in black and white, but I know some of you like colour photos, so I did half and half.

Angharada is a British born, Canada based art model. She has red hair. She has a lot of red hair!
I shot Angharada in late 2019 while I was visiting Vancouver. I was supposed to shoot her again in Melbourne in 2020, but I think we all know what happened to that plan.
