I did two shoots yesterday, a casual/fashion/Christmas themed shoot with Katya and an erotic shoot with Belinda.

I am hitting the road soon and can't take the computer, so expect these to hit the stream early next year.

Cass + snake - Part 2 (NSFW)

Here are the nude (implied) photos from the snake shoot.

Technical: Nikon D700 with NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E VR II lens. Lighting from 2 Nikon SB-800 speedlights placed in various places in the set. The snakes did not like to travel, so this was taken on a portable grey backdrop put up in the snake handler's dining room.

Aim & Belinda - Intimacy (NSFW)

For the last part of this shoot, Aim & Belinda return to the chaise lounge and get a little intimate.

Cass + snake - Part 1 (NSFW)

So here is the snake shoot I did with Cass back in 2014. I posted one photo from this back in May, and a recent prompt from a couple of Patrons reminded me to post the rest.

This was supposed to be, strictly speaking, an implied nude shoot, but a couple of nipple slips may have happened. Don't tell anybody!

Sadly this has been my only snake shoot - the snake handler I knew moved away (and sold all his snakes). Some day I will find another snake handler and try this again.

Aim & Belinda - Breakfast Table (NSFW)

After I was happy with the lighting, I gave the direction, "Belinda, read your book. Aim, try to distract Belinda." Aim is very expressive, and eventually it worked.

Rei Jade - White Tops

Continuing this shoot I did with Rei Jade at a friend's home studio. There is still a fair bit to go, so stay tuned over the next few weeks.

Argh Sqiddy - Red Lingerie

This was the first part of the workshop - Argh posing in her red lingerie and showing off her tattoos. This was set against a black backdrop with art style lighting.

Technical: Nikon D850 with NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E lens. Lighting is from 3 Bowens Gemini 400 studio flashes, two behind Argh on either side in strip softboxes with grids, the last one on a boom above me and to the left in an octagonal softbox with grid.

Aim & Belinda - Second Installment (NSFW)

Second post from the duo shoot I did with Aim Stage and Belinda recently.

Technical: Nikon D850, NIKKOE 24-70mm f/2.8E lens. Lighting is from 2 Godox AD200pro flashes - one is in a 60cm softbox of to camera left to provide key light. I had a lot of trouble with fill light, as we were shooting in a small space and I kept getting reflections in the paintings. In the end I pointed the flash on camera right at the ceiling to have that disperse the light.

Rei Jade - Double Denim (NSFW)

I am starting to publish a shoot I did with Rei Jade at a friend's home studio. My friend is a lighting fanatic, so there are some unusual set ups in this shoot, mostly using Nikon speedlights.

This was the warm-up part of the shoot, so Rei is wearing blue jeans, a blue bra and a sleeveless denim jacket. This set is mostly implied topless, but towards the end the bra is removed and the jacket is opened.

Argh Squiddy Silhouettes (NSFW?)

Argh Squiddy has been modelling in Melbourne for a while now and was kind of on my radar, but I did not have a chance to shoot her until a workshop last weekend organised by Tall Dark & Art. The shoot was extensive, incorporating lingerie, implied and art nude, but I am starting with these silhouette shots.

Rei Jade Workshop (NSFW)

Some years ago I ran workshops at a studio in Belgrave (in Melbourne's outer East). It was a great studio to use in a wonderful location, but sadly the owner went in a different direction (maintaining vintage cameras instead of portrait shooting) and the studio is no more.

This set is from a workshop I ran featuring Rei Jade, starting with some street photography around Belgrave before moving to lingerie and nude in the studio.

Sorry to be quiet - the pollen count in Melbourne has been really high, and my eyes have not wanted to look at computer screens!

This was shot in a small apartment in the middle of the city. It had this wall full of pictures, so some of the shots look like we were shooting in an art gallery.

Jos - Art Nude Workshop part 1 - NSFW

I had a request for more Jos, so I will publish the photos from this workshop.

This was the first time Jos had done a nude workshop (and I think only the second time she had shot nudes, although I think everyone there had shot her before), and this was the first set in the shoot. Shay - My First Shoot AfterLockdown

As I may have mentioned, I have been on the road this week which has lowed down my output. I managed to get to Sydney for the first time in over 2 years!

On a whim I thought I would see if I could get a shoot in on the morning of my trip back to Melbourne - I started off this morning and get home tomorrow. I was very lucky to find Shay who could do an early morning shoot - we started at 7am.

Lace Knife Play (NSFW)

Lace is an alt model (very alt, some would say). She has an extensive tattoo collection, and every time I see her she seems to have more. Lace has an interesting day job - she is Melbourne's only topless barber!

Kiko Reflected (NSFW)

Shooting with a mirror in a dark studio like this has its challenges. For a start, you essentially have to light two models. You also have to take into account what will be in the reflection - so there is a black backdrop behind the mirror so that around the edges will be black, but there is also a black backdrop set up to camera right. Sara Honeybunny - Workshop 2 (NSFW)

Second half of the workshop I ran shooting Sara.

Technical: Nikon D850 with NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8D lens. Lighting from Godox MS300 studio flashes in various configurations. The first 15 shots use an interesting accessory - a focusing snoot. The snoot shines light through a cut out shape, and then a set of lenses in focus that shape on to a surface. In these shots a simple rectangle was focused on to the wall.

Going way back in to the archives - this shoot is almost 10 years old!

This was inspired by a Eurythmics concert I saw in the 80's. Annie Lennox periodically left the stage and would return wearing one less item of clothing, ending up in jeans and bra. Admittedly it was quite a hot night! So I thought I would try to recreate it, taking it a step further.

Sass Kia - Car Park (NSFW)

From a few years ago, this was part 2 of our shoot that day. Part 1 was at Organ Pipes National Park, where I have shot a few times. This section was just after dark in a car park in Melbourne's CBD.

We found a graffiti covered wall on an upper level, and used it as a backdrop. It was a bit cold, but Sass is very brave.
