The last thing we shot in Sylph's apartment was this bright pink lingerie set.
Technical: Nikon D850 with NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E lens. In front of the windows I used natural light, but when we moved in to the bedroom I used two Godox AD200pro pocket flashes in 60cm soft boxes in opposite corners of the room.

From a photography workshop featuring Alice Unleashed. I used to play classical guitar and so was able to pose Alice in the first few shots.

The studio has a rack of clothing in it for models to use, and we all wanted to incorporate the shiny sequinned dress. So Aim put it on (as Lucy took her lingerie off), and we had some fun playing with it, but it did not stay on long.
These shots are about half me requesting certain poses and looks and half the girls just getting on with it.

Sylph Sia, besides being a world famous art nude model, is also a photographer. So during a shoot she is not afraid to throw in her own concepts - this is one of hers, and I just rolled with it.

It has been a while since I visited Sydney and did this shoot at Liis' apartment overlooking Sydney Harbour, but I have started processing it and here is the first set.
At one stage we had to take a break because her neighbour started washing his car just below the balcony and could see up. (We used the time to do some shots inside her flat using a mirror that takes up a whole wall!)

Moving to another attractive set in the TDA studio, we added the sheepskin mat to make it more comfortable, and Aim and Lucy posed together in lingerie and topless. They had not worked together before the weekend of this shoot, but this , I think, their 4th shoot and they were quite comfortable with each other by this stage.

Half way through the shoot, Sylph Sia does a quick check of her make up.
Well, really this was just an excuse to make use of the mirrored splash back in the kitchenette of the apartment. I like shooting with mirrors, because it is a real challenge. You have to take into account that you are lighting two models, and dealing with two backgrounds.

I had another shoot planned for Emilie this day, but for various reasons it fell through - so instead we headed to the beach, probably the last beach day this season.
Being Sun smart, Emilie brought a big hat, so we made use of that as a prop. These were Emilie's favourite shots of the day, so I processed them ahead of the rest.

Ok, not really a bar. If you follow some of the same photographers I follow on Instagram you will have seen this set and know it is the Tall Dark and Art studio.
The great thing about shooting at TDA is that the owner has set up quite a variety of set (usually at least 6 different sets) and he mixes them up all the time.

I'm not 100% sure what Sima is wearing here. It looks like a one-piece swimsuit, but I'm not sure it would survive contact with the water. And Sima is known to pair it with a black skirt and wear it out. But it has the plunging neckline that Sima likes so much.

Evangelea approached me looking to shoot, so I looked through her portfolio, and it was all quite conservative. So I told her I was only shooting Patreon content at the moment, and it didn't look like what she shot fitted the style I was after.

Meet Sima. She is an exotic model based in Melbourne, who I met through a monthly portrait workshop I run. Another photographer recruited her for that, and then he and I arranged our own studio session with Sima where we did not need to be as conservative.

This is from a group shoot in a very simple cyclorama studio. Sam was about 5 months pregnant at the time.
The first set of images with red, blue and yellow backgrounds were shot by putting a gel on one light and pointing it at the backdrop. Sam wanted these for a later gender reveal - at this stage Sam knew the baby's gender but wasn't saying. I'm not sure why she wanted the yellow.
I am shooting Sam again in March when she will be closer to term.

The shoot at the Art Deco apartment ended with Aurora posing on the bed.
This was mostly shot with my portable flashes, but the bedroom had a small window that, at this time of day, had direct sunlight coming through it, so we also tried some shots using just that.

A big window at the front of the Art Deco apartment looks over the tree-lined street. In this set Aurora poses next to the window, and I balance the light coming in the window with a ring flash on my camera.

As the Sun started getting low in the sky Mimi changed into this sexy black bikini with gold chains. We used this light to advantage in several ways - natural side lighting, silhouette, and flash fill.
It was Mimi's idea to get the lollipop out and start sucking on it.

Adopting the moody lighting from Lulla's shot, we moved into the living room where Aurora posed first in her lingerie and then without.
Aurora is a dancer and life model, which influenced the choice of poses in this set.
