Pinup Sketch (January Week 3)

This week I decided to do another pic with no reference. I was thinking of an early morning in late spring, when the day starts cold but gets warmer in the early noon. That's why she's got a big hoodie over her swimsuit... Or are those undies? I dunno, what's the difference, anyways? XD This shy girl is just having a morning cup of coffee out on the back deck. Evergreen trees are kinda hard to color, so we'll see how it goes!

Pinup Sketch (January week 2)

Totally random pinup of Peach in a one piece swimsuit. Didn't use any reference for the pose in this one, either.  I'll get these recent two sketches colored tomorrow, hopefully. Then I should be all caught up for my weekly posts!

Pinup Sketch (January week 1)

It's Zelda, doing some kind of dance at the beach! Lol, this one is completely random. I just wanted to draw something from imagination, this time. Gotta keep my skills balanced! Drawing from reference strengthens my understanding of forms, but drawing from imagination keeps me from becoming too reliant on using reference. I like to switch off, from time to time.

December Pinup Sketch (4th week)

Phew! I cannot seem to log into my account via Firefox, which is my default browser. I have been having trouble since yesterday, so I thought it was just a bug, but I kept getting messages from people through email, so it seems like no one else is having the issue... I just figured out today that I can log in through Chrome, so that's what I am doing, for now.

December Pinup Sketch

For me, things are quite lively! A close relative has come to visit for the first time in 3 years, and all our family and friends have gathered to celebrate. It's kept things very busy! Naturally, this time of year tends to put a strain on productivity, so instead of fighting it, I am going to go with the flow and enjoy the holidays and reunion. Rest assured, though, that the week after Christmas, I'll be posting the final three...

Weekly Color Pinup

All done! This kind of lighting is always tricky, especially with the way I do lines. My thicker lines seem to do really well in darker lighting... However, whenever I need to bounce a strong light source off of something, I have a hard time figuring out how to deal with the fact that my lines show. If it's a painting, I just paint the strong bounce light right up to the edge of the shape (in this case, on her butt). But the black lines cause a bit of a visual issue in these situations... Weekly Pinup Sketch

This one is being a lot of fun to draw. I love to play with different angles and poses that I wouldn't think to draw, very often. I imagine she's probably fallen out of a tree again, and is a bit embarrassed that someone might have seen her tumble. So much for the fabled dexterity of the elves!

You know, as I was drawing this, I noticed that the broken bars that she's snagged on are a bit longer in this pic... And that got me thinking. What if the bars are closing in on her, and that's why she got stuck? She must be a level 1 rogue, if she didn't even check for traps... And now she's lost her trousers because of it! Weekly Pinup - Lines (but not finished)

First: What do you guys think about the new preview image style? I hope it isn't too small... I am trying to apply some of the ideas you guys offered in our recent discussion: Smaller images with a website watermark. Of course, the final image is massive, at 3840 x 2160 pixels!

Current Picture Resolution

Hey folks, I received a few questions about the resolution of last month's illustrations, so I wanted to go over a few things, and get some input back from you.

Since so many people enjoy using my work as wallpapers, I opted to go for wallpaper size for my current works.
