I hate dealing with ballistic gel and I imagine this is the general consensus of anyone who has used it and recast it. Because SO many people are really bothered each time the gel block lands in the dirt and suggest putting a tarp down, I felt it was easier to address that than reply to hundreds of commenters who thought they were the first people to ever suggest using a tarp. Next, I also offer a helpful tip for removing the gel from a mold. Finally I disc...

This video mostly compares two different Federal slugs that have the same velocity and weight. But we also thought it would be interesting to wrap the ballistic gel in different materials that viewers suggested to us. The differences between the two slugs were subtle.

Today we have a guest shooter who contacted Gregg to do a meet-up. We decided to let Jeff take all the shots even though he never shot a 12ga slug before. This is another creative design by Evan Perry who has created many really oddball projectiles for us to demonstrate.

Today we test out a slug called the "Twister". It is a heavy lead slug that fragments into multiple, large pieces on impact. You may remember tests of Twisters with up to 6 petals, and they worked well. But there seemed to be a HUGE difference when the petals are large like these.

How good are lithium batteries as 12ga slugs? We test them out. Don't try this in your home.

I have not been able to film anything new this week so I threw this together, something a lot of viewers have asked me to do.

Master genius Evan Perry submitted another untested projectile design to us. They look like little trash cans. We test them with and without spin stability and film them with a high speed camera.

I get a lot of comments from people wondering if angling the fins on fin-stabilized projectiles would help anything? We decided to test this out and maybe settle the argument. I definitely learned some stuff in this test. I hope you will too.

We test out a few Warwolf Super King Dragon's breath and managed to only start three separate fires. Imagine shooting these 500 feet into a dry grassy field!

We test another design by Alexey Lavrov. You might recognized the dart but the sabots are a new design. I used a really light powder load of only 10 grains for these, and mostly kept the velocities below 1000 fps. (I was really nervous about destroying these by pushing them too hard) Even though these were "slow" you won't believe what one of these did to the lead plate!

We were sent 5 of these coins to test out to see if they can stop bullets. These unique coins are said to be made out of a unique alloy of titanium and aluminum and minted from Soviet missiles in the 1980's. If you are interested in buying one of these odd pieces of history, you can find the here: https://www.ebay.com/str/mrmisc OG's Danger Show YouTube Channel: ...

Many viewers have wanted us to test other bullet calibers on the massive 30lb. lead plate that we normal use as a comparative medium for 12ga slugs. We were curious too of what the lead will actually stop. "Bulletproof" is an old term where you "prove" what types of bullets it can stop and thereby can apply a level of protection. It doesn't mean it can stop every bullet.

Today we test out slugs made from an old 1930's mold by Yankee Hill. Not sure if it is the same Yankee Hill Machine Co. we know today. This came out around the same time as the Foster or "rifled" slug but for whatever reason, is pretty much unknown today.

Today we test out Evan's latest creation he calls the Texas Star. Made out of cast iron and almost unrecognizable as a slug, will these be aerodynamically stable? We test these at very low speeds to over 1500 FPS. Again, I am surprised at well these flew.

I don't know what you'd need a 2.5 oz. slug for, but Seismic makes them and they are beasts. Breanna and her sister Jamie shoot these for us until they can't take any more of the heavy recoil.

Danny requested to make a video explaining to our viewers his current state. He put this off for a long time and finally let me know when he was ready to do this. He was in terrible pain and very weak and it was emotionally difficult for everyone to make this last video. Danny felt it ...

I was just told that Danny passed away last night after battling cancer for the last few months. I visited him just a few days ago and it did not promising for him. His whole body was in pain. He could barely sleep. He was weak, very weak. I filmed his last words to share with you. I'll post that as soon as I can get myself composed again.

Today we test out an unusual copper slug from Tim Hamilton, the Ballistic Machinist. The diabolo shape is a proven shape for a self-stabilized projectile, but Tim thought it would be interesting to see how it would work if it looked like a three dimensional object rendered in an 80's video game.

Denver sent us 3 variants of the same slug design. Understand I have to try to come up with my own load data for many of these tests. I used Steel powder - which I am not a big fan of but I'm also starting to run low on Longshot. Denver wanted us to focus on testing these through a smooth bore shotgun but said he also wanted to see some shots using rifling.
We've had some major forest fires near us and the smoke has been lingering for a c...

War Wolf has been on my butt for months to get to testing these slugs. They seemed to be loaded pretty light, only 23 grains of Long Shot for an almost 600 grain slug. I thought the chrono readings were off until I asked what powder load he used for these. Saw a few minor issues that may have prevented better accuracy. For fun I reloaded one of the Russian steel cased hulls with 30 grains of Long Shot and a 209 primer. Ho...
