A real breather of an issue - Simon helped me A LOT with opening sequence's layouts, managing so many quick interactions and dialogues in a perfect Roy way; and then in the end of the issues I squeezed in a couple of manga-esque, digitally drawn action pages. It was a couple of months when I got weirdly thirsty for some MangaStudio action, and this issue was good for satisfying the itch.

This was the largest and probably the hardest issue to make. But also, it was the first issue we worked on after long-long-long hiatus after our pitch was greenlit by Image, and a lot of my style was constantly changing as the issue progressed. So many little things I only grasped at the end of 7 Deadly Sins were finally allowed to bloom on these pages!

Did a poster for Herzeg Novi comic festival; I guess this original could be for sale?
(My laptop-tablet-scanner setup is currently disassembled, so no scanned and colored version yet!)
Also: this piece is the rare example of my pencils taking more time and effort than inking. Inking it was light and breezy!

Me: telling how every single mentat in my Dune series is going to have a mohawk hairstyle and then completely framing it out of image as I reach third mentat in the series -__- But yeah, believe me, Hasimir is rocking one! Although it looks suspiciously like Táborský's famous lock o hair....

- I ended up doing a full figure riff at my own old drawing of The Doll instead. Dig these two together a lot! And it's funny to see the 4 years difference is such a stark contrast.

Last charity commission on paper for now (still need to do 4 digital drawings!). We raised $920 for good causes, and I'm super happy about it!
Life keeps serving me shit pies for some reason, tho. Gotta investigate that. For fuck's sake
I'm so happy with the piece that I even got a picture of myself with it! :D
There's been a lot of struggle on the way - in the process photos you could notice a few drastic changes I made to the face of Galactus while inking it (I tried white ink, but ended up gluing spots of blank paper on top of places I didn't like).
Who knows, maybe my friend Sergey Nazarov will see this and want to color it! Fingers crossed, hehehe
