I'm very sorry about the lack of updates here in the last couple of weeks - Dune series, commissions and stuff like that is still on temporary hold ans the Life steamrolls us toward (HOPEFULLY) some good things we expect to happen in June.
But at least I could post these two characters - with no explanations or details, mwahahaha!

Well, it's official: everything else in this issues (2 stories by different cartoonists) is basically done - EXCEPT for my own dang "Congregation" comic. And it sucks, because I don't feel any powers in me to finish it properly right now!
Everything I drew for it in the last 3 weeks just feels and looks wrong. I never experienced anything like this, haha - crippling self-doubt in one...

And FIRST time drawing an actual Gundam! (I mean, I DO call all the mobile suits "gundams" anyway... But... You know the nerd thing)
One of the more challenging (because I suck at drawing women!) and definitely one of the most fun (because I fucking love Sin City!) commissions I did in years <3

Here you can check out all of the characters in one place, tracking down some minor edits I made here and there after already posting the drawings here previously.
Baron suffered through the biggest changes - his initial face felt extremely off for me, like he's a lost and confused bookkeeper rather than a cruel flying scheming machine.

But yeah, Piter De Vries and Baron Harkonnen are definitely on the problematic side of things. One is Big Fat Evil Pederast and another is Evil Androgyne, imagine being one of those, huh! I just hope that my designs are still fun and not too misanthropic?

Most of American comics is still in the Diamondless limbo, and time flows really strange in the self-isolation for your truly - so it's kinda hard to believe that both issues 4 and 5 of our volume are more or less finished, colors, backmatter and all.

Russian version of the logo is just one letter shorter than the English one, yet somehow the entire second logo looks way longer, busier, and it even got naturally more ornate as I went through it.
This is very symptomatic of English/Russian ratio and makes me pretty nervous about trying to fill the text boxes in a few weeks from now:

More of the House Atreides uniforms!
I ended up doing 12 variations of more or less a same thing (turns out I had a prerequisite vision after all!), so now I have a good way of dressing each of Atreides characters in slightly different costume in accordance with their, uh, CHARACTER.
