1907 Itala 35/45 - Early Access Release!

The 1907 Itala 35/45, DOWNLOAD HERE, won the 1907 Peking to Paris race, one of the longest races in history. Historic Sim Studios is excited to deliver our recreation of that car. This is version 0.5. It includes the car's custom sounds and the physics are near completion. However, the skins are still being worked on, as there is a minor bug in the AO Map that we are st...

1907 Itala 35/45 Coming This Sunday

The Competitor and Champion tier patrons have voted and the 1907 Itala 35/45 takes the victory, 17 to 13, over the 1968 Nissan R381.

I have been working on the car this evening and finished fine tuning the Itala 35/45's custom sounds.

I've been having a lot of fun testing this car at night driving on the Targa Florio or Fonteny. Its not the fastest car, topping out just over 60 mph, but it makes for a nice cruiser, and considering the car carried 100 gallons (378 liters) of fue...

Status Update: A Change of Plans for This Month

First I want to apologize, I have been unable to deliver the 1934 Auto Union on the timeline I promised. I have tried to compensate for this by pumping out a lot of updates this month for other cars and hopefully you are all understanding of the tight timelines we attempt to operate under so you can experience an awesome new piece of racing history each month. But we just need to shift our schedule to free us up as we close out this year.

The 1934 cars have been handled by the same imp...

VOTE: Choose Our Next Two 3d Models

We will create the Top TWO finishing racecars in this poll. Once the 3d models are finished they will be added to the monthly voting list.

This month's early access release updates will be coming tomorrow evening (the 2nd) to give me time to finish everything. But here is a list of what we hope to have for everyone:
1. A very early access 1934 Auto Union Type A
2. A very well developed 1934 Alfa Romeo P3
3. A very well developed, including new 3d model with much lower...

PLEASE NOTE: The version WITH wheel covers has the entirely new 1937 tire model, I spent a lot of time this month working to get the tires right, and though I believe they are likely more historically accurate then the old tires. I think actually think they have become more difficult to drive at higher spe...

What Era would you choose for HSS to focus on? (Champions 2nd vote)

I just realized I should make a second poll for the Champion's tier since they get that extra bonus for their much appreciated additional support.

Like this poll isn't really that strict of a thing, its more just for me to have a general overview, but I also think its valuable to know how my biggest supporters are thinking as well.

What Era would you choose for HSS to focus on?

This poll is open to all Patrons. I'm just trying to get a general idea of what era you guys all like. Especially in terms of future car development for us here at HSS. We won't be focusing on just one era, but I would like to make sure we are including at least the most popular two eras heavily in our future plans.

Next month I will be doing a more specific poll (for Competitor and Champion tier Patrons) to choose which new cars to add to our development list, and that we will then be...

August 2022 HSS Summary

This month has been a busy one, so lets get into it. As always, thanks for all the support everyone!

Our Competitor and Champion tier patrons voted and in a relatively close vote, the 1934 Auto Union Type A was chosen to be imported in for next month, by a vote of 13 to 7 over the 1906 Itala 35/40 which received the second most votes.

Historic Sim Studios has contracted with Pasta as our dedicated skinner for our cars going forward. We are really excited about this collaboration...

Laserscanning & Measuring Some Future Projects

Earlier this week I was out laserscanning and measuring a 1949 Hudson Hornet and a 1950 Nash Ambassador Airflyte. While there I also got a quick scan in of the Morris Minor 1000.

These cars will be produced by HSS and available on our Patreon before eventually being made public. The client was wonderful and is excited that everyone will get to experience driving these cars in AC.

July 2022 HSS Summary

I thought it was about time I updated everyone on some of the projects we are working on at HSS.

In the above photos you can see we have finished the 3d model for the 1916 Premier Indycar, and I have to say it is one of our most detailed and best models to date. I look forward to including it in the upcoming 1916 American Champions pack.

Additionally, Historic Sim Studios has reached an agreement with F3 Classic Tracks and we are helping to create a dozen more 1960 Formula Junio...

1934 Alfa Romeo P3 - Early Access Release (v 0.1) & 1934 Tyre Updates

This is an alpha look at the 1934 Alfa Romeo, as typical for such an early release I won't be listing any bugs or planned improvements, because it will be across the board. However, I do want to note that the scale of the car and driver is going to be adjusted as currently they are a bit too large.

Added Some More Merch Options, More Coming Soon.

I've added a bunch of Merchandise to the HSS store. I'm getting it geared up for the launch of the 1916 American Champions pack in a couple months.

I'm still working on three different doodle art pieces too, they will look great on water bottles and a lot of other stuff. One for 1990s Nascar, one for 1960s F1, and finally a more random 1910s through 1970s Historic Sim Studios piece.
