I had a pretty productive week working on this little pseudogame I've been making inside of WDD. I've added more mechanics to it, so now you can smash open walls and use keys on doors! I just want to add a few more enemies and a boss fight, and then I can check this one off my list. I didn't expect this thing to become as large as it did, but I also think it's very funny when games have smaller games inside them. More to come!

Sorry it's been a minute. IRL work got a little more intense and a lot of my "I'll deal with it eventually"s turned into "I have to deal with it now"s. But! I have been doing as much work as I can on both of the final CGs for this update!

Hey all!

Sorry this is late again. :\ I find that I am compelled to put together something to show in these previews every week and sometimes I just can't gather enough content to show that I'm proud of, so how about some that's still super in progress. Hey all!

Sorry this was a little late, this weekend has been really busy. I spent some of my dev time this week stitching up disparate pieces of content for the next update so that all the little event flags connect up the way they should. Now you can go from the beginning of the game through all of the neighbor stuff up to getting the games from them and being able to play them.

Hope you had a good holiday season. I've been working on the final character bust for this update, the lich's trusty undead thrall. This individual is responsible for keeping track of many valuable things for the lich, including one specific one that she won't want to lose! Maybe with the right bribe, you could procure that very valuable item from the thrall? But what could an undead servant want of the living? I guess you'll just have to wait and see!

Had a bunch of family over for the holiday and just got a moment to post this. I'm making steady progress on one of the new scenes for the dungeon world. I finally got this working!

What you see occurring here is an entirely new game loop, running inside of WDD! It took quite a bit of Ruby to get it to function the way I wanted, but the character in this mini-game now manages it's own movement and collision logic independent of RPG Maker's own in-built system. In other words, I coded a game from scratch within an RPG Maker game. Why? Because I wanted a movement system that RPG Maker couldn't provide me with, so I just wrote it myself lol...

Had a pretty productive week. I picked up basically exactly where I left off - adding more to the neighbor. Your first in-person encounter with them is about borrowing one of their old favorite video games which necessitated a game-in-a-game situation so you can actually play the thing. I've been playing UFO 50 a bit lately which I think informed the design. Weird, culty NES game with esoteric rules that you played that one time at your friend's house and then never again.

Hi all.

It's been a weird couple of months. How are you guys? I've been trying to get some work done for the past few weeks, but I am finding that art block has set in somewhat. I figured a good way to push through that would be to redesign my profile picture and I'm happy to see that all the art juice hasn't left me. More to come soon. Possibly an update to that Twine game from forever ago.

After the recent release I've been wanting to work on the game's ending, so I finally got to creating the last major dream layer: Esoterica. This layer is at the bottom and acts a a sort of sink that all dreamworlds lead into eventually. It is also the location of all the endgame content such as the white door and the toggles to unlocking level 2 scenes.
