I've played through the Frontiers update twice now, giving it time to sit, and I feel ready to give my thoughts on it. I also planned to take a break around this time well before the DLC's release date was even announced, so there was no rescheduling. It worked out though, it let me come back with a clear mind and a chance to compare a first and second run. I was thinking that I would hold off on Superstars until this was finished to stay chronological, but now I'm not certain. Maybe it would be better to get Superstars out somewhat on time, then go back to Update 3. I'll make a decision after the game drops.

I've completed the third Sonic Frontiers DLC and the notes just keep piling up. It's too early to say how long this will take, but I'll keep you all updated when significant progress is made, and it definitely will not take as long as the last one. This has potential to be the biggest review of the 3 too, which terrifies me greatly, but we'll have to see.

The audio for Update 2 is finally finished! Production on the video portion has begun with an estimated window of 5-7 days to get it all wrapped up. Roughly 29 minutes total after outtakes are removed. I'm considering doing a short update video for the channel to briefly inform everyone on the status of the video, update 3 and Superstars news, etc. to break the silence, but I'll wait until I'm rejuvenated to decide that.

The script for the second Frontiers update video is done and even bigger than the last one. Looks like a half hour video, my goodness. I contemplated doing another top 10 music list to fill in the gaps, but I might just go for it and push this one out and save the list for after. Either way, there's nothing on the radar that would suddenly postpone this. Superstars shouldn't be coming out for a little while still, same with Update 3, so I SHOULD be in the clear.

I'm gonna work on as much as I can to shoot for a morning release tomorrow, but if it's not enough time, then the following day it'll be all good to go. I'm finishing the Extreme video audio right now and getting all the footage imported for editing. MAN it's gonna be close, but I'm gonna work pretty much all day today and tomorrow to get it out right on the 23rd and pray that the second Frontiers update doesn't invalidate half the stuff I talk about. Then I'll be hopping right into Origins Plus, AAAAAAA--it's gonna be fine.

The audio has finally been edited to completion for the P06 Silver video! Now all that's left is the video itself which never takes nearly as long as the audio. 3-7 days give or take and I can head back to Frontiers Extreme Mode. I'll let you all know when it's done. Also, thank you to all the new patrons who decided to hop aboard from my recent content. I know I don't offer much of a reward on here, hence why I only do the dollar tip jar tier, but these single dollar donations have the potential to carry this channel into full-time territory if I can get enough. The script for the silver release was just completed! This will be the longest video on P06 for sure, probably around 24 minutes, assuming nothing gets cut. Regardless, I'm really happy with it, I'll be doing a full before and after of Silver's gameplay on console and how it was translated onto P06, plus the big changes to other characters. I'll keep you posted on its progress and an ETA for the upload. Generally it takes about 2 weeks for the audio and video to get done for one of this size.

Alrighty, I've made significant progress on the next video, that being the first Sonic Frontiers update. It's looking like it'll be around the same length as my first couple of Sonic videos, 15-20 minutes, and I definitely got some good material to work with. You guys are really gonna like this one, but I sadly caught another cold that's affected my voice, so I'll need to mostly recover from that before recording. Thankfully, I can go back and finish the Hellfire Saga script with the extra time. So while my punctuality on the update will suffer, the quality will still be there, and that's what matters most in the long run. I'll probably do a video on that Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog steam game as well, if I have anything substantial to say on the matter. After all that, it may be the perfect time to revisit Sonic Mania right before Origins Plus comes out, maybe do an updated review on the game 6 years later. Seeya then!

The Hellfire Saga script is nearly complete, but as it would happen, the first wave of Sonic Frontiers updates is coming tomorrow, so naturally I'm gonna prioritize a smaller punctual video on that first. March has been a busier month for me, so April and onward will give me a better focus on content creation. My recent videos are performing acceptably, but the cyberspace level ranking has only done half as well as the Forces one in the same time, with the music top 10 further behind. Not that views mean everything, but I won't be cramming to get another one of those out if the audience isn't there for it at this time. I wanna get some other big projects done first.

My top 10 cyberspace themes video is being exported and will probably be up in under an hour from now. It's not much of a heads up, but I've also settled on the rom hack of choice for my next review: Sonic Hellfire Saga. I had a lot of fun with that one and definitely want to give its 5 year development time some spotlight. The script is halfway done, so I'm hoping to have it finished in 2 weeks.

As a follow up to the Forces one, the next video will be me ranking every cyberspace stage. The script is nearly done, just doing a final pass, so ideally it should be out within a week. Since the Frontiers soundtrack is so massive, I might do a series of top 10s for each genre of music it has. Open Zone, Cyberspace, and vocal themes. I also may return to the world of fan games and rom hacks, as there are a few that caught my eye recently. But I'll make that decision once I've actually played them. Somewhere in between all that, I wanna squeeze in non-sonic reviews too. It's gonna be a good year.

I have never been more terrified of a wave form in my life. 7 hours of audio have been edited down to 77 minutes. Some alternate takes and pauses are included in there, but that's roughly the duration you can expect the Frontiers review to be. Next, I start editing the actual video which won't take me nearly as long thankfully. I'm gonna shoot for 3-5 days and the beast should be out.

Sorry to keep this info quiet for so long, but I had to make sure it was set into motion before promising anything. January was a blank month over there on the channel, as I've been writing and recording videos for this whole duration. I'll go into detail later, but I have 5 videos fully written (4 guides and 1 non RotMG review), the footage has already been gathered, and the audio for one of them has just been edited to completion. I haven't been utilizing Patreon very much lately and feel like keeping these reward tiers open is unnecessary for the time being. So I've taken them down and converted my page into a tip jar where any amount is acceptable.
