Cyclone Alfred Friday Update
Looks like old mate will be touching down tomorrow. Its officially windy now, but by the looks of things we should be ok through the night in terms of power.
I'm relaxing, playing some PS5, chilling with my partner and looking after the kitty cats, life is normal. But tomorrow will be a big one.
I will keep you posted on how it goes
Cyclone Alfred Thursday Update
Looks like Alf is taking his sweet time joining us here on the land. And this isn't necessarily a good thing, as it means the cyclone will take on more water and is moving slower, so will likely lead to flooding :/
Current ETA is Friday afternoon. The good news is I should be able to get Severance done on my usual schedule.
But all aussies in this part of the country are patiently "waiting for a mate".
So far, life is the same, roads a desolate and its just a waiting game...

Cyclone Alfred Wednesday Update
Ok everyone, i am writing this at 1.24pm on Wednesday. The BOM (Bureau of Meteorology) are currently tracking the cyclone to made landfall around midnight on Thursday night.
This is looking like a big one, it will affect densely populated residential areas, severe flood warnings are in effect in some areas (check out Brisbane 2011 floods for some idea of how that can go), and the south eastern corner of our state is in somewhat of a panic.
