Been a busy day in that Paradise on Earth, Tucson. But I finally got a chance to siddown at the computer and post the latest episode of our compassionate witch's adventures.

    A "normal" slave can flee into his mind when the burden of his bondage gets too heavy. But when it's your mind that's in chains, where do you go? The hatred of Barracki's zombies for their slaver (and their gratitude to their liberator) is hard to describe.

    The cops may not believe in this zombie nonsense, but the ex-zombies are grateful to their liberator. To a degree hard for the people who haven't experienced the zombie curse themselves to understand. Nobody's laying a finger on her while they're around.

How Kitten Kelly came to the Animal Circus, page 1.

From thirty-four years ago, kitten Kelly's "origin story". The grays are zip-a-tone, transparent sheets with little black dots printed on them. You stuck 'em on your art to simulate graytones when they were photocopied - or printed in strict black-and-white by the analog printing presses of the day. And yes, zip-a-tone grays were a lot of work to apply. Fortunately, it seems I had lots of time when I was 23.

   But hey, no full nudity or sex, yet - I can leave this page p...

I'm a long-time fan of the Goon Show the 1950's BBC radio comedy with Spike Milligan, Peter Sellers and Harry Secombe (as evidenced by the fact I just rattled those names off from my borked memory). So's my long-time pal, PAL. 

   So at the turn of the century, me & him assembled a funny-animal comix pastiche of the Goon Show, just for laughs. I'm fixin' to run it here on Saturdays while I laboriously assemble the new Scotman and Icelad adventure, "Look both ways...

The Church used to burn people they thought were witches. Thankfully, their attitude seems to have improved.

   Depicting a lot of things happening at once in comix is not easy: I see where I could have done better in these panels. But hey, as long as they're readable, I'm happy.

And that wraps up that little tale. I'm of a mind to run something fun for the next story. 'Cause let's be honest, I don't just LIKE a laugh, I NEED 'em like a junkie. Maybe a Scotman and Icelad tale in the vein of "Beware the Yule Spirits", where they clash with the Spirit of New Years' - Janus, the two-faced lord of transitions. Just gotta think up some gags for a god who sees the past and future simultaneously, but has problems with the present.
