i visited a traditional polish restaurants a while ago, and ate a lot of good foods i wanted to doodle.

part of me thinks this is what my dnd halfr orc would snack on, since i base lots of her background on polish culture! the pork neck at the top there still looks like literal shit, but i'm pretty happy with these sketches! gotta draw more food...

i started another batch of commissions i'll be posting! they're all black and white, which allows me to add more details and patterns without worrying about colours, so i'm excited for all the costumes the characters wear!

WIP 18

animating continues! i cleaned up the frames, added some in-betweens to make it smoother. i referenced some staff choreo videos and fixed the stick slap there at the end;

there's still work to do but i'm enjoying it a lot! it is very tedious but very rewarding ;v;

i haven't animated anything in a long while, and i've been hanging out with animators lately so  i've been inspired enough to give it a shot!

at this current stage the first couple of frames are more or less done, but i've yet to refine the rest of the sketchy frames, and add a lot of in betweens so that it doesn't look as choppy. i'm not concerned about much colour or detail in this one, i just wanna make it smooth and nice ( ՞ټ՞ )

last session the dice were kind to him and he went on a stabby spree which i have properly documented for future generations to behold:

WIP 16

a very cool scene from the latest CR episode (don't worry, no spoilers ahead), there's a ton of cinematic scenes lately and i've been really feeling the last two episodes!

the first piece is the basic thumbnail i had to get out of my sysem and it took maybe 10 minutes. i knew i wanted a cool from-below shot, and a photographic darkroom vibe re: colour scheme. i noticed as i went that i lost a lot of the dynamic energy from the first sketch, so that's something to think about.

first of all, oof, sorry for the radio silence, everyone! internet on my PC was down, and patreon's app is an absolute nightmare;

before i spam you with overdue doodles, here is a step by step of this piece; i had a ton of fun painting the curly hair, and i'm happy with how that the last minute orange lighting (i told y'all i'd do it when i posted it as a wip) works!

my oc, lamia - i really missed my girl and have been doodling her a bunch lately!! it felt super good -  and beauregard from CR, who does god-knows-what with that hand but i kinda like it. you know how sometimes something doesn't make sense but it looks good? that's on...

coming at y'all with some dragon age nostalgia;

dalish elf commission i'm working on - just sent her up for a review. i'm really enjoying this calmer/more mellow palette, but i do have to stop myself from adding the harsh rimlight or some crazy magic effects, and that's the real struggle. i'll probably cave later and add some subtle light here and there!

i got a little bit of time to work on this piece, so i'm at the stage when trying out a couple of concepts. still debating, but i'm leaning towards the light and vibrant wter of the second piece - thoughts?

now to hunt for references to make sure she looks like she's submerged in water and not a mouthwash!

here's the very first try for the lying-on-grass concept; to not waste too much time on it in case i disliked it, i just pasted some stock flowers just to get the vibe and colours visu...

some musings: the last months have been pretty hard on me what with the lack of time, to the point when i'm considering changing the patron (yet again) pledges to pay-what-you-want, in order to take off some of my pressure and streamline the posts a bit. juggling the tiers and making sure everyone gets what they paid for every month is way harder than i thought! it would probably be easier if i were able to support myself via patreon only. any thoughts?

WIP 10 + PROCESS THOUGHTS

hi hi! there will be no wrap-up this month because i have literally no personal paintings i can show you from this month, sorry guys. ya gal was too busy, which is crazy but good! and now that i've taken a hiatus from the monthly commissions, things are calming down i can take weekends off again, which is very nice ;v;
