New year, new design! I first made these designs in 2020, just for fun and to try something different. Turns out, I had a lot of fun doing it and thought some stickers of them would be cute. commission i finished back in december but didnt get to post it amoungst the holiday chaos and moving. I was asked to redesign and make some tweaks to an exisiting OC of the commissoners. it's another update! I mentioned this drawing in an earlier post. its been on the back burner since June 2023, well i came back and finally finished it. i know i said i was gonna cool it on the hl fan art for a bit, but this one was already quite on it's way to completion. i always wanted to draw Alyx's hideout from HLA, just so many little set pieces and little bits of lore and characterization in them. some casual alyx and barn before work, as a treat :). Warning, the files are REALLY big. i tried double the canvas size than i usually use as an experiement on the line quality. sometimes, usually on faces, the quality of the ink brush i use gets a little funky and spotty with the A4 (11.7x8.3) 300DPI canvas i usually use, so the docs are about 22 x 16. inking the faces that small did help with the lines, its just a really chunky file.

Starting with a recap:
November was filled with more Half-Life brainworms in lieu of Half-Life's 25th anniversary, so we drew some Gordon and Freemance fan art.
sketches + studies + vis dev for SG's gear + exploration sketches of Meredith Stout for the poll drawing. pretty much taking it a bit easy on projects until the end of the year since I've been dealing with some back pain. Gonna wrap up a couple commissions, do some painting, draw up Meredith, then it's full swing production on Vance Subprime, and Mad Between the Stars!

Latest comm i wrapped up was Slash from Quake 3. I was given the option of Quake 3 or Champions Slash but i wasn't too crazy with QC Slash's design. The Quake 3 design appealed to me most; she looked dangerous and i wanted to maintain that. and i love the concept of cybernetically augmented skater. QC has a much more punk but design but very little cybernetics aside from her glowing skates i suppose and toned down demeanor just looking at renders and promo art. ive completed all my pieces for my show last night and have handed them off to the framer.. whew! I'm really excited to see how they look in the frames!! in 2 weeks!! I relaxed and rewarded myself with some freemance drawing haha. Here's some other stuff lying around: A Loba I drew at a con and an inked Meryl head i took from a scrapped drawing where i experimented with her hairstyle a bit, and another one of the drawings from my show.
Another piece for my show, CYBERIA, next month at Ember + Forge! How could I not slip in some alyx? I will be handing this and rest of the pieces to the framer tomorrow so they should look real nice.

Ember + Forge, a local coffee shop in Erie, PA will be having a show of my new work from December 2nd to the 31st. Pieces will be available for purchase. After I've scanned all the pieces in, I will post them in hi-res just for patrons in the deluxe tiers and above and possibly create a little booklet of all the pieces.

That went by quickly! October was mainly dedicated to more drawings for my solo show. I got about 10 finished pencil drawings, debating on doing an 11th but it involves some more concept arting that i don't know if i want to cram in just now.
