So, it's been two days of just figuring out some mechanics of the game especially the state overlays and particle battle effects. They were a huge problem but two days of work paid off.

Some problems I encountered are. 

Problem - Particle state effects on multiple enemies remain on screen when another actor uses a skill that triggers a background change. This was a huge problem especially when the actor is not targeting the enemy.

Game Journal #30

I've been working on the story and drawing the 3rd character busts!

I've also been creating some small battle animations for spells and utilizing some particle effects and action sequences for the game.

Added beginner weapons, items and recipes to get the game mechanic started!
Just need to draw some icons, then they will be fully implemented!

Now, I just need to fill in the town with treasure!

Poll Result

Today was quite a fruitful day!
So after making the poll, and looking over the Ragnarok skill.
I noticed that, the only thing which makes the skill so fancy looking was
PARTICLE EFFECTS!

I found a few plug-ins for this and honestly it took me over 6+ hours to finally find one that works very well with that I'm trying to do. So much trial and error :'(

So here's the result of particle effects! Now all it needs is a huuuuuuge ass sword falling from the sky.

For the past few days I've been working on the game mechanics, story and gameplay.
Here's the list:

Story progression - more content after the cave boss

Crafting Cores - Cores are crystals that contain skills, you can craft these based on the amount of Elemental Essence you gather.

Skill equip - Remember FF7 Materia system? Well, I added that in since I loved the materia equip system. You can use spells based on the Core you equip to your weapon or armor.

Completed the next map today, the ruins! 


On top of that I've included a cooking mechanic into the game! 


I've always loved the idea of having food mechanics as part of the gameplay, like granting stat boost and other goodies!

Game Update

It's almost ready!
An intro demo to the game will be released between 1st September - 3rd September!
Just need to finish off a few events and images, plus bug testing!
