Added 2019-10-06 23:59:11 +0000 UTCSo, it's been two days of just figuring out some mechanics of the game especially the state overlays and particle battle effects. They were a huge problem but two days of work paid off.
Some problems I encountered are.
Problem - Particle state effects on multiple enemies remain on screen when another actor uses a skill that triggers a background change. This was a huge problem especially when the actor is not targeting the enemy.
Resolved - This was fixed by hiding the particle effects with another state effect. Honestly it's complicated to do than to explain at first, but once I figured it out it can be applied to all state effect particles.
Readjusting of skills and item battle character actions due to particle effects, of course once I figured out a solution everything had to be changed. Hopefully it'll be the last.
Problem - Particle was not completely removed. So after using a skill or item the particle effect remained and kept playing.
Result - This would confuse the player greatly and was fixed by readjusting the timer of how long the particle would last. Requires editing the particle code.
Today's progress of the game.
-Dhalium is officially completed!
-With NPC'S and Story progression!
-Items, Weapons, Armor, Recipes are implemented for purchase!
-Chests/Treasure has been added to Dhalium Maps.
-Introduction to 3rd character!
-More of the world map has been made!
-Started making the next area for more story progress!
