Sometimes you need a few extra frames to get those tiny details "just" right. Learn everything you need to clean up your animation with as few frames as possible in the next 60 seconds! Hope it helps :)

Alright, my goal is to finish the Animation series this month and finally get to mo-cap -
So far, so good. We've been able to knock out most of our goals on time. There were a few videos that didn't make it to the list because I wasn't sure what the demand for them would be. I'll be posting polls for those in a few days to see what you guys would like to do -

This is a very common question people learning Blender Animation ask, and it's been a problem in Blender for years because it's very, very, very un-intuitive. So, here's the plan. The Motion Capture poll was pretty close. Unlike most polls, this one had quite a number on both sides. It was by far the biggest split I've ever seen here on Patreon. Most of you wanted to save money for a nice mocap suit. However, some of you in the comments brought up a good point in that Kinect is probably the only hardware the vast majority of Blender users can afford. And, I didn't really feel comfortable just leaving everyone in that category to fend for themselves...

So, I'm still doing some research in order to find the best balance of reasonable price and quality. But, here's what's holding me back. I'm trying to find an affordable mocap that ALSO includes hand tracking. In my experience with mocap in college, the time you waste manually fixing jitter, face, and hand positions almost always defeats the point of using the mocap in the first place.
So, if possible, I'd really like to spare you all the agony of wasting 3+ hours on your 5 minute ani...

Today we're going over a 'soft skill', but, it's something I really recommend everyone take a minute to think about before they start hitting those animations. A little planning, can save you hundreds of wasted hours. Trust me, I learned this the hard way - Hope it helps :)

So, I've already started to blueprint the animations for basic weapon holding positions. I think I have a pretty solid idea what the main weapons I want to add to the game are. But, I'd like to know which ones the Squad prefers the most. We're working on the clock, so I won't have time to perfect everything, but at a minimum I hope to at least make sure our favorite weapon animations look the smoothest, and clean.

So, I just wanted to give a heads up that the CEO has informed all Patreon creators that on July 1st, state law has forced Patreon to apply taxes to certain pledges. This does not apply to anyone from a country in the EU, and 14 of the US States.
They did give me some leeway with how I can reduce taxes on my supporters, and I have taken all the extra measures I possibly could to make sure that the taxes have been reduced or nullified as much as possible. So, it probably wont affect us...

Been working on the color scheme for the Main Character's costume. This is all quick rough draft, no textures yet, and the hair still clips. But, just in terms of colors, I've narrowed the schemes to these two so far. Ones more of a Black and blue, the other is more of a white and aqua. Which one do you guys like more?? Well, ladies and gentlemen, I just finished installing driver bones to control the facial shape keys. And, with that, the rig is finally and FULLY complete. I also took the liberty of making more attractive custom bone shapes, custom color coordination, fixed the normals, topology, and any weird joint bends that I could find -
