Here's day 20 for Is' prompt of "wheatfield"! I drew this last night when I didn't really have that much left in the way of eyes, so it's just a little blurry. But hey, colourful!

Today, I've mainly been watching and rewatching and analysing the new intro for Critical Role. Patreontober #19 - "Sweets"

Corine gave us "horse", so here’s a rather quick Asfaloth (I'd allotted two hours at school for this today, but then I had to jump in for a colleague and one of the two was gone). Quick digital watercolour. =)

Patreontober #17 - "Smith"

Here's today's image, for Matěj's prompt "smith"! I did briefly think of Matt Smith, but Fëanor (very dignifiedly) bumped up and down to be done in an ink style. I love that style SO much, and it's suited so well to black hair and fire! I will definitely do more of it.
Done with the "fuzzy fineliner" from my "Pencil, Ink & Hatch" set. Plus a bit of colour added with the charcoal from the same set.

Patreontober #16 - "Namarië"

I always wanted to do very soft sketches, like Alan Lee or John Howe, and I found time and time again that I have too much of a bold stroke. Now I can just sketch boldly and then take back the boldness. 😁

Blade's prompt of "Namarië" resulted in, fittingly, Amarië, Finrod's beloved. It actually started out as Galadriel, but didn't quite fit her. 

Patreontober #15: "Fire"

First off, thank you all so much for all your words of support and courage yesterday; that really built me up again.

For a warning shot, it seems Friday's eye episode could have been worse. It doesn't bother me much (apart from the occasional cat at my right heel), and it made it clear I need to keep more of an eye on my blood pressure, as that seems to have been the catalyst again.

With that in mind, I started on this one yesterday, with a bit of a more elaborate style, as well...

Patreontober #14: Party tree

Juliette's prompt of "party tree" was overshadowed by a new eye episode, so I guess they're not over yet. 😖

The new blind spot is pretty large but, thankfully, not central, but bottom right of my right eye. I will probably be running over cats a lot. Even more than normal, that is. 

Still dealing with it, so a rather quick pic today. 

Patreontober #13: Avari

Paul's suggestion of "Avari" prompted Eöl, most prominent of the Avari! I went with a properly inked piece, a look which I’ve always liked but don't do as often as I should. (With the fineliner brushes from my last brush set).

You may remember the general image idea from my painting of Aredhel a few years ago.

Patreontober #12: Sailing

Elizabeth gave us the prompt "sailing", and Fjord kicks off the second sheet of Patreontober. One of the things Critical Role (and Travis Willingham) achieved: it made half-orcs sexy. 😂

Had a bit of a bad coupled days and thought I'd fall a lot more behind, but I just might make it to "Avari" tonight. Fingers crossed!

Patreontober #11 - "Sea-longing"

Zane gave me the prompt "sea-longing" and of course my mind went to Legolas!

Hannah's prompt of "glimmer" made me think of the light of Valinor in the eyes of the Noldor, so here's a little Fingon looking into your soul! 

Done with my coloured pencil brushes in Procreate this time. 

Patreontober #9: Mischievous

Brit's prompt for today prompted - Fearne, of course! There was a lovely interview with Ashley, her player, a while back, where she said what she loved most about her character was that Fearne has a little tail, and every time she gets ready to do something delightfully disastrous, she imagines her tail wiggling with excitement. 😄

Expanded the image! I'll keep it at eight total though, I think.

Patreontober #8: "Heartbreak"

We spent the entire day at Essen Games Fair (SPIEL) yesterday, and though I‘d already finished this on Saturday night, I didn’t find any time to post it. Patreontober #7 - Bunny

First difficult decision: Watership Down or Agnes? I felt more like Agnes today, so here she is for Isabella's prompt "bunny"!

Done with a ballpoint-pen I'm developing in Procreate. I love the look and feel of ballpoint pen, all the more so when it doesn’t fade - or smudge when you erase! When I think about all the pieces I‘ve ruined because I didn‘t wait long enough before erasing my sketch! I used to draw in my "homework book" with ballpoint pen all through University.

Here's today’s prompt, from Michelle C! Trinket, Vex' animal companion extraordinaire, after being yarnbombed by Vax and Keyleth. (Trinket was a lot more okay with it than Vex.) 😂

Patreontober #5: Leaf-crown

Here's Liv's suggestion! 

Thranduil was painted with my new watercolour brush set (which always means two hours of painting and three hours of fiddling with brushes).

Today, I had this idea to combine several sketches together in one scrapbooky thing, which I really like. I'm just going to accept the fact that Inktober is always a weird search until day five. At least I cut that process short this time by not starting until day four! 😅

Patreontober #4: Parting

Here we are with KN‘s suggestion: "Parting". Absolutely had to kick this off with Orym saying farewell to his mom, leaving Zephrah a few months after the loss of his husband and father in law. 

I'm going to shake fandoms up a lot this month, and I already have pretty good ideas for the next few days, which is definitely good! This was drawn with my pencil brushes, but tomorrow's "leaf crown" definitely needs a splash of colour. 😊
