Tried to show the black and white underpainting/glaze technique, which turns out does not work properly with scalecolor reds. Instead it became a lesson in how to salvage a paintjob after a less than optimal start with layers and glazes to tint those layers in a hue that ties in.

I did upgrade to a DSLR camera, so picture should be a lot clearer and crisper now! I had to get used to the new setup, that is why at the start of the video I have some of my hair get in the way, sorry for that! But I quickly realised and made sure that did not happen for the rest of the video.

Painting the blue helmet, basically showing how to apply smooth gradients to big (round) surfaces. Shading with glazes and then moving into another form of creating wear and tear. Last part of the video shows the same principle applied to the chestplate, that we finished smoothly in a previeous video.
