Bob out for a drink

I just sprayed the terrarium and Bob decided to come out for a drink. She is almost 1,5 years old now. That means she is VERY old in spider years. She still looks good tho.

I am not the smartest am I?

I moved the rubber duckies in a temporary bigger bin while I wait for the supplies for the bigger terrarium to arrive. However, after putting them in I realized I will never find them all again in there to transfer them into the terrarium once it is done... I will have to move everything including the soil to make sure I have them all

I bought a new home for the rubber duckies

Might be overkill for 13 isopods.. oh well at least they will have space to run around

I have been hunting ants for the past hour..

There was a breach and a bunch of them escaped. And with breach I mean I was an idiot and didn't put the lid back on properly.. but I think I got them all back

I have been a little sick the last couple of days.

Don't worry nothing too bad but it is the reason I haven't posted a lot of stuff on here this week. I'm starting to feel better so you can expect some more posts again!

As for youtube videos, I'm editing and filming the rubber ducky video but with being sick I haven't been able to do as much as I had liked. Sooo I don't know yet when that one will be online but like always you will see it here first.

Bob Keychain I got from the police

This is probably very confusing for people that are not from Belgium.. In Belgium the designated driver is called "Bob". If the Police stops you for a breath test and you haven't been drinking, you sometimes get this keychain.

Good news!

Prepare your ears to hear my expressive voice in HD (or wathever it is called for sound) because I got a new mic! No, seriously I hope it improves the sound quality because that is something that is bothering me a lot lately.

Planning to also invest into a real camera instead of filming with my phone. However, need to do some research first to find the one that is best for my needs. Filming tiny things. Ow and also to film my animals ofcourse...

Is the amount of Bobs too high?

We lost another Bob 😔

They only live for a few months so it is to be expected we lose one once in a while. But it still sucks. If I find them fast enough before they get eaten by other Bobs I sometimes put them in these display boxes. That is a way for me to remember all the Bobs I had.

The ants have been busy!

I took 4 days of at my day job to film/edit.

I'm sacrificing my limited leave days to make content for you guys, don't ever say I'm not committed 😅

But I'm happy to do it for our Bob community here!

The new isoBobs arrived!

They are still very small so they still need to grow into their full rubber ducky form.

Consider this a ''filler episode''. A lot of people were asking for an update on the jar of dirt. But because nothing much happened it was hard to make a full video about it. Sooo I wrapped it in a ''financial video''. Probably not that interesting but I also was very busy the past weeks so I thought I'd bring out a shorter video.

Probably won't be making one like this again because I prefer making ''normal videos''.

I ordered some new Bobs today

My 3 jars of dirt

These are my 3 jars of dirt, where the dirt is from and how old they are (approximately). I'm planning on giving more updates on them, here.

Might start a new one because ofcourse my filming skillzzz are much better now.

Ready for hibernation

After hibernation I'm building them a more natural setup.

These Bobs are also still around

However, there are only 2 left, a male and a female. I think I'm not going to put them in a bigger terrarium since this one is more than big enough for 2 !

This colony is growing fast (Messor angularis). My other 2 colonies (Lasius Niger and Messor barbarus) are going into hibernation soon.

I bought some bee pollen for the Bobs

I mean you guys bought bee pollen for the Bobs because you payed for it 😅 Thank you because that stuff is expensive! I was mainly for the roaches but the other Bobs seem to enjoy it too!
