I'm on holiday right now so there won't be posts about my ants etc in a while. However, I will post some pictures of the animals I encounter and you guys have to guess where I am 😉

Temporary home for the new Bobs

I made the new Bob's a temporary home. I need to get some supplies before I can build them their final home. They are doing well and have already eaten a lot. And they hump, they hump A LOT... I'm working hard to get a video ready before I leave on holiday in a little less than 2 weeks.

Should I post the video here when it is ready? You will see it more than a week early compared to the people on YouTube but that also means you will have to wait a week longer for a new video a...

If you have seen the latest video, this winged ant is an alate that emerged from the giant puppet.

Finally was able to get these Bobs

They were not easy to come by but I got some predatory beetles! In two weeks I'm going on holiday for 3 weeks (yes I know, long but I have been basically working two jobs for a year straight so I need it 😅). I don't know if I will get another video ready before that but you guys will definitely get a few smaller updates on patreon here.

Update on our little friend

Yesterday evening at dawn I tried putting him outside. He wasn't able to take flight. I got up in the middle of the night to try again but still nothing. I think he was to weak. I took him back inside because it was raining a lot and he would be eaten by a cat or something. Luckily he was still alive this moring. I drove him to the animal rescue service and handed him over. Hopefully he was just weak from not getting enough food the last few days and he isn't sick or anything. They will feed ...

An unexpected guest in my home.

This tiny bat was wandering around in my house. I called an animal rescue service and they said to wait until dawn and than put him outside and see if it flies away. It looks a bit weak so I hope he is ok. I'm not filming it or anything, it is probably already scared enough. Just going to find some insects to feed it so it gets back some strength.

Two of the three isolated superworms have finally transformed. We will have some beetles soon!

My very first ant colony is getting busy.

They are FINALLY starting to dig tunnels in the back wall of the cube. At the same time they are digging in the "hill" of sand I gave them. Curious to see what they end up choosing as their new nesting space.

You might have seen it or not but I put some acorns in this terrarium for the ant colony in there. Now one is growing!

What do you guys think, should I let it grow into a tree or should I remove it?
