Title is probably going to be: I have a free roam ant colony in my bedroom. 

Editing is almost finished but still need to record my stupid jokes...

Is it bad that there is an ant colony running free in my bedroom?

Do you guys remember the small ant colony that lives in the wood in this terrarium? Well it is running free in my bedroom. They just come and go out of the terrarium as they please...

Luckely this is an ant species with very small colonies and vey small ants of max around 100-200 workers. I think I'm just going to let them run free I guess...

How does: "I have a free running pet ant colony in my bedroom" sound as a video title?  

The ants have finally moved into the right nest !

It took a while but the ants have finally moved into the nest area. Currently editing the video.

I also tasted the blanched crickets today, that was... fun.

Thousands of eggs

Inside this little tube are thousands of eggs I'm going to try and hatch. I hope it is not going to become a big disaster like the triops...

The ants are moving!

And yes that is a giant larvae she is carrying. A subscriber noticed something what might be mold inside their nesttube. I'm not sure if it is indeed mold but I'm not taking any chances. The ants needed to get out of there asap.

Update on jar of dirt 2

This is the one with the dirt from a forest. The one with the very big plant, remember? Yeah... that plant is dead. But others are taking its place!

The video on this jar is the first video that got over 1 million views on the channel. It is now about 2,5 years old and it all started as dirt. 

I haven't opened it in a few months and it is still doing great.

Video ideas!

I need video ideas! So if you guys know some cool ''experiments'' I could do, or something else that fits the channel, let me know! 

I have 1 video ready (Bob the spider move) and I started filming an ant update today but after that I'm not sure yet.

I still have a pretty big empty terrarium standing here but I don't know what to do with it. A 'simple' tropical terrarium/paludarium seems so boring because a lot of people are doing those. But they still are pretty cool ofcours...

Ant update!

I'm slowley getting back to some filming so who wants an ant update?

This pupae you see there is what I believe a soldier (major worker) in the making. In this species they can get very big, the biggest workers are only a little bit smaller than the queen.

Bob has finished his final molt

He has grown wings now! This is just a quick update, I promise I will be back with more uploads soon.

Sad news

Unfortunatly my cat passed away today. You might have seen her in some of my videos. This means you will probably not see a new post on here in the next couple of days because I'm pretty sad. Hope you understand!

I moved her into the new terrarium and I can say now with 100 % certainty that it is not to big for her to find food 😅

What do you guys think? I'm moving in Bob tomorrow she molted 2 days ago so I'm going to let her settle for an extra day before the move.

I started in a new job this week (yes I still need a normal job too 😅) so I was pretty busy. But don't worry I'm still going to upload videos and give you guys on patreon here regular updates, previews,... 

Since Bob clearly won in yesterdays poll...

Bob has molted 3 times already since the video and she is going for bigger and bigger prey (watch till the end). 

Bob is getting bigger but I'm still a bit hesitant of moving her into the very big terrarium. These spiders are escape artists and I'm scared she will get out. I might buy her an intermidiate terrarium in which she can live for a month or 2-3. And Bob will have you guys to thank for that because I will pay for it with the patreon money! Thank you all!

Little project of today.

It is a paludarium but you guys know me... ofcourse the video is not going to be a boring: "I built a paludarium" 😉 this weekend I'm starting the editing. This one will be online around the end of december.

I know, I know it is getting out of hand but it is not my fault this time 😅

After generating about 4 million views with the products of antstore they have finally offered to send me an ant colony (free of charge). I just have to post a link to the product in the description of the video. I'm going to give my honest opinion, I'm not payed to say good stuff about the company 😁
