1.11 Week 5 report

Hey guys! This week felt like a long one. I was feeling burned out on Friday evening, so I took the whole day off yesterday to recharge.

We did a whole bunch of things this week:

  • Victoria finished the expressions artwork. Jeff is now partway through processing the art into the game.
  • Mihail fixed some display issues with the new character sheet.

Happy New Year everybody!

Hey guys!  We just released the Early Access version of FA1.10 to Analysts+.  It'll now be polished for a general release on Jan 14.

We added six new scenes this month!  Our lovely illustrator Victoria worked especially hard in December, creating avatar clothes for so many different scenarios.

December Ops Beta Test

Female Agent 1.10

Yesterday we released the (eerily bug-free) early access version of FA1.9 to Analysts+.  The general release will be in two weeks, on Monday 14 December.

We've now started main production of FA1.10, which is targeted for early access release on Thursday 31 December.

FA1.9 Early Release

Greetings Analysts!  Thank you so much for supporting Female Agent – version 1.9 is attached.

  • The main addition is a totally new sex scene, using the new mechanics.  Like the Dubai rewrite, this scene has multiple paths based on player decisions and dice rolls; unlike the Dubai rewrite, it only took a few weeks to implement.
  • We also added tattoo, piercing & bikini line customisation, plus a ton of avatar clothes.

[v1.9 week 4] Final polish

Hey guys!  This week was greta.  We finished and uploaded most of the avatar art used for this section – tattoos, piercings, clothes.  

We hit a visual problem with the piercings – while they looked great in Illustrator, they were hard to see on the avatar – but Victoria recoloured them and they now look really good.  The avatar in general just looks stunning for this whole section – I'm sure you'll be impressed.

[v1.9 week 3] Nearly ready

Hey guys!  We're putting some finishing touches on v1.9, and making a head start on v.1.10.

  • The writing of this 1.9 is complete. Feedback from Monday’s beta test of the new sex scene was very helpful (thanks Operators), and I've been able to improve the pacing based on it.  I’ve also been able to get a head start on writing scenes for next month’s release, which feels greta!

Normally I find myself desperately writing content right up to – and, let's face it, past – a planned release date.

So...it's novel to have completed a first writing draft with two weeks still to go.  That doesn't mean 1.9 is ready to release – we still have lots of things to do with artwork and code – but it does mean we've crossed off one of the major tasks, way earlier than normal.

Phase 1 complete, moving to phase 2

Hey guys!  We finished setting up the new avatar, code, game mechanics and UI.

We released a demo of this to Patrons (which broke, but we're working on it!).  Once it's fixed, we'll aim to release a public demo so everybody can check it out.
